We found the staff at Mallard Landing to be very, very friendly, and very accommodating. We liked the facility because it's not huge, but it's also not too small. It's very clean, with nice rooms, and it has the opportunity for my mom to get out and meet other people. I think she's going to be very comfortable there. She will be moving there tomorrow and she's going to be in a 1-bedroom apartment. It will have a living room area and a little kitchenette area for her. They're talking about having bingo and some other things. They have a pool table and all kinds of stuff there for people to do. They have a little room they called the Coca-Cola room that looks like a little restaurant where families could cook meals for their loved ones. They also have a library for reading and a community room to have puzzles and things like that.

My mother has been a resident of ML for 3 years now. She is not an easy person to deal with at times, but they have treated her with much love and respect. The "Covid Season" was very difficult as the residents were forced to stay in their rooms and did not have family or interpersonal contact with the other residents. However, the staff was diligent to meet the needs of the residents, meals were served in their rooms, video Dr. appointments were made and other medical procedures such as labs were able to be done in their rooms by technicians who travelled. All of these lockdowns were a result of State of Washington guidelines/rules and not of the local staff. As of today, I'm able to visit with my mom, go out for lunch or shopping, take her to appointments myself. There are many activities offered at ML for the residents - bingo, cards, puzzles, chair exercising, support groups, outings in the van, just to name a few. Mom is fine with the food - I've had no complaints. The best thing about ML is that all services are given to you in one price! Studio room + food, + medication assistance + house keeping + laundry = ONE PRICE. I've looked at several fancier places, larger places, big name places - but the price issue has always been a question. Not here! For all these reasons I recommend Mallard Landing.

Mallard Landing is very nice and one of the better places. It's pretty good-sized. The director of the place took me to a room and explained things to me. She was very nice.

My mother-in-law is in Mallard Landing. It is a wonderful place. Everybody was friendly and nice, and I couldn’t believe how happy all the residents were. We are going to meet with the staff in May for the first time, but everybody that we have met with during the assessment was all very friendly and very informative. They have lots activities there. I know she likes to read books, and they have a nice library, which she likes, and a hair salon that she wants us to go to. The dining room is very nice. We had lunch there with her one day, and the food was fair. To me it was fair because I like spicy, hot stuff. It is really a nice place, and everybody seems really happy there.

I visited Mallard Landing for my mother. It was very nice and offered a lot of things. The building was nice, and the staff was very friendly. We saw one room that looked like it would have been adequate for my mother had she chosen to go there. It needed a little updating, though. They had a Coca-Cola room decorated like the 1950s with a checkered floor and booths. It was really cute. The staff said that it was open to the public if they wanted to come and use it, which I thought was pretty nice. They worked with the community, which was important too. It was a short visit but the folks who I observed seemed very happy. The place smelled good and was very clean. They shared with us what they do for activities, and it sounded like they're good at involving their residents. I wish my mom could have gone there.

Angry! That's how I felt when I moved in. I'd given up my apartment, my belongings of 60+ years and I was too young to be here. But worse of all I gave up my adorable, precious dog. It took me a couple months to see that I was happier here, made several good friends and was involved in activities that were actually lots of fun. Never know an activities director could be a prescription for my depression, just a bundle of fun she is. Not only did I find friends in the residents, but the staff members became friends too and they are a wonderful bunch of people, here to please. I hate to admit it, but I've become just a little forgetful and am thankful for people to remind me of things like doctor's appointments and they make sure I have medical transportation and that I get there. They make sure I take my medications at the right time and dose. I feel that Mallard Landing has been just what I needed to help me deal with the little details of daily life that has become a bit more difficult.

After being a caregiver for my Mom for a number of years, she was in need of more caring and supervision than I was able to provide. The opportunity came up for her to move into Mallard Landing Assisted Living. She is well taken care of by their friendly and knowledgeable staff. She enjoys the meals, activities and has a nice large room with a view. I feel secure she is getting excellent care, and would give high recommendations to this facility.

The 5 star comments do not say enough about this facility! Not only is the facility beautiful inside and out, it's also the team that provides care on a daily basis. The team is very hard working, friendly, considerate, engaged in resident’s lives. Resident’s needs are always put first. The new management team touches the lives of residents each day. My mother loves her new home and the care she is getting. No matter the size of something that arises, everything gets resolved quickly with love and patience. I would highly recommend Mallard Landing to anyone who is looking for a secure loving home to place their loved one in.

The Mallard Landing facility is a really good place for my mom. She is well kept there. We moved her out of her place because we couldn't find anyone to take care of her. The we heard of Mallard Landing. At first we were skeptical about the price but when a month passed they reached our satisfaction. I love the beautiful stairs that go up to the second floor. Also the employees that work there are really nice. The thing I do not like about that place is the smoking. Some of the employees smoke as they work. My mom loves it there, she met a lot of fantastic people there. She even met a World War II veteran. Most people would like it. I would recommend having a friend or family member stay there.
