I toured Meadows Courtyard for a loved one. It was a good tour. It was thorough. Rhonda was very outgoing and informative, and she showed me the two levels of care they provide and showed me examples of the rooms. She showed me the facility, the dining room, the library, and the facilities in general. For the independent living, I just looked at the studio. It was one room with a sink and then the bathroom and the large windows. It comes unfurnished. There are no kitchen facilities, but there is a sink and a room for a microwave. Meadows Courtyard was very clean.

I toured Meadows Courtyard. All I saw was the reception area. It looked clean, and the people were friendly. We walked down the hall, and the staff showed me a studio apartment that somebody was living in. We went in, and the resident let me look around. His room was fine. Their rooms would be fine for an older single man who has a hard time taking care of himself. It would be good for something like that. I noticed the room had a bed, a chair, a TV, a desk, and a pretty nice bathroom, but that's all I saw. The person who toured me around was nice. She had all the information I needed. The place was clean and functional.

Meadows Courtyard is an older place. I didn't like the parking. It wasn't close enough to the door, if you're handicapped. The staff members were nice enough. They had a resident to show us their place, and that one didn't have a bedroom. It just had a place off to the side of the front room with a place for your bed. They provide three meals a day.

Meadows Courtyard was slightly rundown. It's not bad, but it wasn't as nice as some of the other places we looked at. The staff was friendly and seemed good. It has nice grounds outside. They had some activities going on. They had a decent activity calendar. They have card playing, bingo, puzzle, and discussing current affairs and that sort of thing. The place just needs to be remodeled a little bit.

Meadows Courtyard looked more atypical of a senior center. It was darker when you went inside. It had a strong residual smell of food, and that probably was because they were making lunch. But to me, it might be reflective of a venting system that isn't maybe as updated as the other facility we visited. It was a little bit closed in. I didn't get the impression there was quite as much for residents to do, and the meals were not flexible. It wasn't a menu type of situation like the other facility. The lady that did the presentation and walked us around was a very kind person, but I could tell she was probably required to do a lot. She didn't make us feel rushed, but you could tell she probably didn't have the time to be as in-depth. I felt like I had to ask more questions instead of the information being offered. The dining area was spacious, and they had some snacks available for residents all day long. The meals were definitely designed to be provided during certain hours, like breakfast was a certain time, and lunch was a certain time, so it was a little more restricted. It was decorated for Christmas, which was nice, but it wasn't as airy and bright. It didn't have big windows, so it felt a little bit more enclosed. They had a little store that one of the residents volunteers and runs, and it looked pretty stocked with personal items, as well as snacks that people could purchase. They have an activities director that coordinates different things, but I wasn't particularly sure of what those activities were. I didn't investigate that too much. They had a reading area and some sitting areas, and they did coordinate some activities, and they gave us a paper with some ideas on it.

LOVE this place! Moved my Mom in from a facility that was WAY more expensive, but she hated it. She now says she "loves my little place". Rhonda and Pam have been so accommodating with everything from moving in to making Mom feel welcome there. It has a very good family feeling for such a large place. Mom's favorite thing to do is to watch the ducks from the pond who congregate under her windows. And controlling her own heat! I will recommend this place to everyone now.

My mother moved into Meadows Courtyard. She just loves it and she really likes the dining part of it. The small, very adequate studio apartment fit her needs, and it has a walk-in shower which is a really big bonus. It has room for what she needs, and it's bright, with a nice window overlooking a duck pond. It's also nice and clean. She likes the people there very much. The place is very well-maintained.

Meadows Courtyard was adequate. I saw one of the apartments and the facilities. It's homey and small. They had a library and a television room that seemed clean. The staff was helpful. It's average, economical, clean, and pleasant, but there's nothing fancy about it.

I visited this facility and at first I was impressed until I was shown the assisted living apartment for Medicaid. It was horrible. the room was dark, had to share a bathroom and had room for only a single bed. Very different from other places that I looked at that accommodated Medicaid residents which had room for a bed and other furniture. Meadow Courtyard treats their Medicaid residents like second class citizens and would never live there.

I have known the owners of Meadows Courtyard for a long time, and the facility is very convenient for me. The rooms I picked out for dad are very close to the dining area, so he doesn’t have to walk very far; and their one-bedroom seemed large enough. I was impressed by the size of the rooms and how light they were. The staff was very good to me. They right away showed me the rooms; very cordial, very friendly, and very helpful. I was impressed enough to try to secure him a room, and they worked with me.
