The Learned Environment

With years of research and planning, The Cordwainer offers residents The Learned Environment, a unique program curated for “in the moment” and “long-term” learning. This curriculum promotes well-being for participants by building confidence, stimulating the mind and body, and offering something new and exciting. Art—Learners explore different art mediums and develop skills to creatively express themselves while using a variety of materials, tools, and processes. Music for the Mind—Learners investigate a variety of musical instruments while gaining benefits to help improve physical health, mental processing, and social functioning. Foreign Language—At their own pace, Learners practice numerals, words, and phrases with exercises developed by Lingo Flamingo, an interactive language system. Additional Resident Services Enhanced Level of Care—An additional hour of care per day. Aging Gracefully Program—This special program allows residents to age in place as their health and care needs change. Limited Medication Administration Service—Additional support with a resident’s medications.

Resident Suites

Our resident suites are thoughtfully designed to include natural light, wood and textures to facilitate independence, wellness and social engagement. The Cordwainer also includes the latest in fresh air ventilation systems and many other critical health and safety features. Private Suites—Beautiful, oversized European windows to accentuate lighting, soothing interior design touches, special bathroom features, and more. Companion Suites—We offer a limited number of companion suites, featuring two private bedrooms, shared bathroom, and a shared sitting area.
