I am a friend or relative of resident
If I could give zero stars and still be rated I would. My father came to Quince with a degenerative spinal cancer. He had lost most of his mobility on his right side, but was expected to live at least another 6 months before he left the hospital. Within 10 days he died. He was visited everyday, and it gradually became clear that he was not being cared for adequately. He developed bedsores which he had not had during his stay in the hospital which lasted over 2 weeks. His food tray was often untouched. This is a man who could not use his dominate hand, and had difficulty using the other, yet no one took the time to feed him during the day. Then in the evening during visits he was so sedated that he could not wake or communicate let alone eat. In the hospital, he would eat much of his tray if assisted, and was eager to enjoy a nutrient drink, especially strawberry. I could say more, but it all boils down to an apathetic staff and inadequate patient care. During this short time our family discussed moving him to another facility, but before any changes could be made he died.

My mother went to Quince for 20 days. They were very good and very attentive. I was very happy with them. Her room was kept very clean, and she had 24-hour care. She did therapy three times a day -- speech, physical, and occupational therapy. The food was OK, but it wasn't seasoned very well.
