are many private home caregiver agencies (essentially employment agencies) that will provide short-term care. You can find them on the internet with a search on "home healthcare" or "home senior care" or "home nursing care." Plus your mom's town, of course. You can also use the old-fashioned phone book. Caring.com has recently added a local resource tool (look on the home page) which should also help you find agencies serving your mom. And you can always check the Eldercare Locator, an online tool that will link you to your mom's local Area Agency on Aging, a government-run service that offers referrals on all kinds of senior services, including home care.
