Member since May 22, 2011My mother has alz, 10 years ago she was diagnosed with dementia. After my father pass away in 2001 she spiral into depression and a tumor which was non cancerous was removed a year after he pass away. She is 73 rarely remembers him, 6 months ago the sleeping at night got worst it been 2 months that i had to ask the doctor for sleeping pills. Since the begining of jan, 2011 she was not sleeping i was sleeping next to her and working up to 80 hours, an in jan, I took 3 weeks off and in feb. i quit my job, because my son and daughter were helping me and i found that it was getting worse the agression started not wanting to bath, my daughter and i look for tips online to try to get her to bath so we find when she is drozzy , this week we started her on the pill for agression seroquel 50 mg have not gotten much sleep worried about side effects, and some nurse will be in monday to evaluate her, i know we are at the i need 24 hour care for her, will se what the nurse says. She is never left alone and do not want to put her in a place but i know i have tomy two brothers pick her up for dinner monday thru friday, and she not only doesnt know who we are but, i cannot sleep much worrying about her, her doctor recommend that i find a place and set the nurse to come .
