Caring for me Member since July 30, 2010Hi, I am not a caregiver anymore. I do have a caregiver and was a Physician Assistant in both PA & AK for 20+ years before becoming severely disabled.
Initially from Cancer then from a multiplicity of illnesses brought on by a cancer damaged immune system.
I am here to help others with cancer & in home living help. I have dealt with both & am still dealing with it.
I hope that through my own experiences I will be able to provide at least a place to start looking for the aid that they need. I do not have all of the answers, but I do know where to go to get them.
I am a Russian Orthodox Christian & feel that Faith of any kind is terribly important in our every day dealings whether it be dealing with illness, loneliness or needing help to stay in our homes, Faith helps keep us grounded & fearless.
I guess in a nut shell I am who I am and I make no excuses. I have learned to live life on my terms and to let no one tell me when or how I will die as only God has that answer.
For those of you who can accept that, welcome to my humble little world & I look forward to hearing from you. For those of you who cannot, as I said I make no excuses for who I am nor do I feel the need to apologize for who I am.
But it does sadden me to think that, for whatever reason, you are missing out on a great friend.
God Bless you all.
