They've helped me a lot to know that there is someone who can help my parents and make them feel safe. I like that the people they've sent to us have all been kind, conscientious, and well-mannered.

The aides' personality is helpful. We have a fabulous aide who has been with Mother for about 2.5 years.

Just having someone there for my mom is so vital for my mother's wellbeing and happiness. They could improve on communication regarding the caregivers time off.

My mom is at Lone Tree right now. She likes it there. She has been there since September. They have everything there. They’re always doing something. They have bingo, and they paint their nails. They have lots of things. The nurses are very friendly. They seem to take care of my mom, and everybody else. They’re really nice people. They need to improve on the food, though.

When I visited this facility I noticed overall that it was organized and clean. I felt that my grandfathers room was somewhat cramped and uninviting. The staff at this facility was overall nice and courteous for the most part, although some of the staff became irritated when asked questions or presented concerns by myself or by other members of my family. This home also did not have much as far as any recreational areas and did not have much room to walk or move around with my grandfather. I came here a couple of times to help feed my grandfather during meal times and I noticed the food was really mediocre, I myself never tried the food but from what I can tell it wasn't that good and very very bland. My grandfather who suffered from Alzheimers and dementia did not have much say to say about how he was treated but being with him and looking him over from time to time he didn't seem agitated or under a whole lot of stress so I considered this a plus that he wasn't being mistreated in any way. I see this as a plus since I have heard many horror stories not necessarily from this facility but from other nursing homes in the area. The medical care from this facility was overall professional and most of the nurses and doctors did seem to know what they were doing. My grandfather eventually did die in this facility due to continued health problems, and the whole process was easy to deal with and the facility did not create more problems or make it more stressful than it was that day.

The staff was very friendly; however, I felt they could have done a better job of actually taking care of the patients. I realize they were there to die, but it could have been much less depressing and the patient's stay could have been made more comfortable. The building seemed kind of old and run down and not as clean as I would have liked. I remember there were always patients screaming and clearly in a lot of pain, but not enough was done to calm them down. My grandfather originally went in there to get better and be able to go home, but never made it out and I partly attribute this to the unstimulating environment and lack of real care. He did seem to get treated better than some other patients, probably because many other patients seemed to be dealing with more dementia.
