This facility houses senior citizens who mainly have Alzheimer's disease. The facility has a dining room, activity room, and individual bedrooms for each patients. The facility has only one nurse and an assistant that takes care of around 30 seniors. The seniors spend most of their time in one room in the activity room, where they can watch TV, play games, read newspapers, or interact with other volunteers. The assisted living seems to be low on staff because they rely mostly on volunteers, the majority are students. Also, the dinner selection is quite limited, as the seniors only have two choices of meals. The positives of the facility include that it is well-maintained, cleaned, and there is a bus where seniors can go out to places on weekends, such as church or go shopping, etc. Since there are many volunteers there, seniors get to participate with activities, such as making craft, cooking, exercise, etc. Seniors won't get lonely as they interact with volunteers and staff a lot. The negatives are that it is under-staff, some of the workers don't speak English well, and I am not sure that the caregivers are giving enough individual attention to each resident.
