We placed our dad here after a horrible experience in another facility . The staff here at Artis have been wonderful with the transition and with caring for our dad. The rooms are clean - and the environment is bright , classy and we are welcomed anytime we want to visit. The staff welcome family support and involvement which we really appreciate. There are always activities going on and while dealing with memory care can be very difficult, the Artis staff seem to celebrate every moment and find the silver lining !

We placed my mother in Artis Senior Living of Chestnut Ridge. They seem to really consider everything about a patient. They ask you what their likes and dislikes are in every aspect, socially, what they like to eat, and what their hobbies are. They're very caring. They bring her to activities, and they involve her with other patients there as well as the staff. Her room is very nice, spacious, and bright, they have windows in every room, and it's comfortable. They encourage you to bring stuff from home to make it feel homely for them. I haven't tried the food, but I've seen it, and my mom said it's very good. But they stop their activities a little early for me personally. They have a nice outdoor space, they said they do gardening with them, they do crafts, and they take virtual trips to other countries. The other day they were doing floral arrangements, so they have a good amount of activities like bingo and movie nights, that kind of thing. I think all these places are expensive, but for what my mom gets and what they're offering, I think the value for the money is good.
