Forgot his dinner one night. Left lunch in the hall twice to become cold. Don't give residents their medications. In my presence a rude guy yelled at my husband after leaving him wet for hours. He was trying to make it seem like it was my husband's fault. My husband lays in waste and urine for long periods. He has BO because they won't bathe or shower him. They will not give him his toothbrush so his breath smells also. They will one day cause someone's illness or worse. The room isn't clean and is poorly furnished.

We toured The Plaza at Richardson for my sister-in-law. When I went into the building, it appeared very, very clean. It had a nice odor, and the place was just nice. You didn't smell perfume or anything of that sort. It just smelled clean and looking around, she showed me one room that would be shared. I only saw one room and I saw the dining room. They take the people to the dining room if necessary, they bring them back, and then if you don't have a shower in your room, you go to a community shower. That's one person at a time, and that's exactly the way it is where she is, in Wichita. They have games and activities and things during the day, they have a lot of guests coming in to either sing or play an instrument for entertainment for them. If you had to be there, there isn't any place that's perfect, but you had to be there. It sounded nice and they were caring people. They have a lobby and it's a one-story building. But from the front, it looked like it had three halls where the rooms would be. I asked her a lot of questions. There's parking, it's on a quiet street in a very nice neighborhood, and there are no houses across the street from the facility. And to me, I think that's a plus.

My husband is at The Plaza, and the staff seems to be efficient and very caring. The place is cheerful. He has a nice closet and attached bathroom, and has a roommate, which is going well. The food is institutional. They have all kinds of opportunities for them to participate in various kinds of programs and crafts and physical wellness programs. They have excellent therapy. We heard really good recommendations for it.

My mother went to the Plaza for rehab, and she had a life threatening experience due to gross negligence. She was there for two weeks and her catheter was filthy, they did not change it, her elbow was infected because they did not change her dressing for two weeks. She ended up in the hospital for four months because of their gross negligence.

The Plaza at Richardson has two amazing Lifetime Wellness employees that truly get the residents involved in activities. The nursing staff seems skilled and compassionate. The building is not new, but it is clean and well-maintained. The social worker I met was very friendly and helpful.

This is a Stonegate property that has been recently updated to add a private wing for Medicare rehab patients. All the rooms are large, private, with a sleeper sofa in each, plus table or desk, and lots of storage space. There is a nursing station for rehab patients on this wing. The building is a "K" with the nurses' station at the intersection of the 4 wings. The other 3 wings of the facility have not been updated, except the therapy room has been enlarged. It is a large gym with various equipment, and a new manager who is enthusiastic and experienced. The facility staff now includes a nurse practitioner to give immediate medical attention when a doctor is not in the building. It has started accepting 'Medicaid pending' in certain cases. There are rocking chairs onside on the portico that are often in use.
