My wife was at Cedar Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center for seven months. It was a great place. Very caring. Very considerate people. I couldn't have been more satisfied. It was an excellent place. It was a little expensive, but it was worth every penny. Excellent food. Clean and caring service. The nurses were great. The administrators were involved. They knew everybody. It's a small place. I think they only have like 50 residents. I had lunch or dinner with my wife, and the food was excellent. Not a five-star restaurant, but certainly a five-star institution. Activities were good.

One of the things we liked about Cedar Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center was they have seven activities for the memory care residents a day. They try to keep them awake as much as they can during the day, so they sleep well at night. They also provide all the linens, all the towels, and everything. Then they have three meals a day and three snacks a day. They are an older facility, but the staff was great. They're not trying to do three different people's jobs; each person was specialized in each area that they do.

Cedar Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center is very, very inviting and very clean. We like their COVID policy and the care that they've taken, the fact that their staff is vaccinated and most of the residents are vaccinated. Renee, the community relations director, is the lady who gave us the tour and spent quite a bit of time visiting with us. They had a lot of activities planned because it was a Saturday, and a lot of the residents were either in rooms with their families or they were gone. We didn't see very many of the residents, which is fine because they are very careful about COVID. But I appreciate the fact that they were very, very careful. So we did not have any of the food, but everybody looked well cared for. The staff that we saw seemed happy like they liked their jobs.

Cedar Ridge's facility was great. I love the rooms' layout and I love the whole area. The residents could go out into the yard and it's locked so they can't leave the area. They have an exercise room and a room where they can do other activities. I saw pianos in 3 different rooms, so the clients would be able to sing and play music. They were only at half capacity because of COVID, but there are a lot of activities. I like the fact that they have a garden area and that the clients can garden. They have a barbecue grill where, when it's nice out, they barbecue and do things outdoors.

My husband has been in Cedar Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center since Christmas Eve. The people are wonderful, and he seems really happy there. They're a specialized Alzheimer's care home, but they take Parkinson's patients. He has Parkinson's with mild dementia. I'm perfectly happy with them right now. The staff is just really caring, and they do fun things for 'em. They have an app, and they send you pictures of what they're doing. You can go on your app and see what they're doing. They're really nice. I haven't met anybody I didn't like. When I visit, they have plexiglass up on a table. We go into an old cafeteria that they don't use anymore, but it's always clean. They send you a calendar of what they do. They have extensive activities, and it's the most I've seen anywhere. They played balloon volleyball, and they had Elvis' birthday where they all got to dress up as Elvis, they dressed them up, they had guitars, and they played a bunch of games. I didn't read the activities calendar. I just saw how long it was because my husband is very limited in what he can do. They don't let them stay in their rooms. They keep 'em out of their room to do activities or meet other people. They keep 'em active.

We loved Cedar Ridge Alzheimer's Special Care Center. The food wasn’t consistent, but the residents were happy. I would recommend it.

Cedar Ridge was alright, but it wasn’t as good as the other one I visited. The staff was positive and friendly. It looked like it was cleaned and maintained. The layout was OK, but it wasn’t as bright and airy as the other facility.
