St. Andrews Memory Care was in a very pretty location because it was an old convent. They had a really big courtyard. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice and seemed very engaged with the residents. They knew everybody's name. There weren't as many common areas for services there because the building was quite a bit smaller, and the floors smelled of urine.

St. Andrews Memory Care was beautiful. I spoke with a lady named Debbie, and she was very caring and very personable. She just feels the family's pain. She had all the information that would be required for someone who's looking for a facility. She took me on a tour of the rooms. There are four floors in the building. It was a very historic building. It used to be a convent. The wood was all preserved like it was back in the 1800s and 1900s. It had high ceilings and beautiful windows in the rooms. I highly recommend it. They had a full outdoor yard and a garden where the residents could grow things. There was a beautiful outdoor grass area where they could sit out in the sun. They had the most beautiful chapel where they had church services every Sunday.

St. Andrews Memory Care was an older building. It was a nice place, but the newer ones were much better as far as decorations, cleanliness, or the way they furnish it. The upkeep was decent and they had some grounds with lots of benches. They just had a lot of stairs. So, you have to try to figure out how to get into the gate. The staff that took us around was nice, knew a lot about the building, and knew a lot about the residents. They introduced me to a couple of them. I think they're well worth it for certain people, but it was just not what we were looking for.

St. Andrews Memory Care was a nice place. It wouldn't work for my brother because he couldn't smoke. He smokes a lot. But that was a good place. They have activities with the patients. It seemed like whatever they were doing was geared towards the floor that the patients were on. They have nice outside grounds. It was well kept, clean, and nice. But because it was a nonsmoking facility, it was not going to work for him. I talked to the director, and she did the tour. They answered questions and they were polite. It was just a short quick tour. We didn't go into the rooms; they have patients. The residents were in the hallway in the dayroom and that seemed to be organized. They have a garden and a patio-type place.

My sister with early-onset dementia is a resident here, and while we were concerned the age difference would spook her, she has settled in very well. The staff is taking great care of her, and were very receptive to incorporating our experiences in her care to make it best for everyone. She takes full advantage of all the activities, and is even happier and engaged than when we were caring for her!

I'm absolutely delighted that I placed my aunt here. she is so happy and always smiling when I see her. She seems engaged and healthy. Her room is a large suite that she shares with someone else. So the other person gets one half while my aunt gets the other half. In the room there is a bathroom with a sink and toilet. The rooms are always clean when I come and visit as is the bathroom. The bedrooms have wood or vinyl flooring. This is great because messes are easy to clean up and the smells don't linger for too long. Staff is very nice and pleasant. They look presentable and are always put together. I have noticed many of them are now wearing uniforms which makes it easy to tell who works there and who does not. I have seen residents enjoy walks outside and my aunt will talk about playing bingo. I did meet the Activity Director and she went over the calendar with me. They had scheduled things like making jewelry and grilled cheese sandwiches. It sounded like fun. The amenities offered are food for visitors. You do have to pay for it but its fairly cheap. They also have drive residents to and from appointments. They also did just open a salon. It's a great place.

This institution is absolutely lovely. When I walked inside it smelled clean. While I was visiting my sister a housekeeper cleaned my sister's room and her bathroom. The rooms are wonderful. They are larger rooms than what you would see elsewhere. Each room has a bathroom toilet sink ect. and they have windows in all of the rooms. It's magnificent. They are all hard wood or similar to hard wood. Which is great because it's easy to clean. Staff has been wonderful. They are really good about maintaining a positive attitude which then makes the residents have good attitude. The over all energy here is just so calming and happy. I seen some residents playing bingo and they really seemed to be enjoying that. They were able to win fun prizes and things. As well as making some bracelets out of beads. Staff was also participating in these activities and seemed to be having fun.The community offers quite a few amenities They have a massive yard. The residents are taken on walks where they are watched by a staff member. There are also benches outside for residents to rest and catch their breath. The community was a great place everyone there seemed happy and healthy. I'm truly glad I put my sister in this institution.

I can not begin to express how impressed I was with St.Andrews Memory Care. The rooms great. Staff Awesome. But lets talk about the activities!! First off those two ladies in activities are the nicest people there. They were extraordinary. I couldn't get the elevator to work so one of them helped me. And not just opened the elevator for me. But actually walked me up to my moms room and made sure I got there. In the elevator we talked and I asked her what they do all day. And she told me what they were doing. I was beyond impressed. I saw them painting nails that day, decorating for Easter going outside with residents and also sitting down with residents and just reassuring them that it's ok and that they are safe. These ladies were so amazing. It lets me breath knowing that my mom isn't just sitting doing nothing all day long. It was one of my big fear when I put her in a facility. But I know that she is being well taken care of and she is being stimulated by all of these enriching activities that those two are doing. This place is great and if you have any fear about putting you family in a facility. Look at their activity calendar. And think would you be happy with these activities. Because When I looked at the St.Andrews Calendar I would do all of these activities

Staff is kind and friendly. Not only to family members but to the residents as well. The room are quite spacious. It depends on the room of course but you standard size room is quite generous. They provide some furniture such as table and chairs. Any time I visit my mother she is well showered. There food is pretty good and everyone seems to enjoy it. I have been here several times and I have seen a vast amount of improvements. From the staff to the residents over all well being. staff seem happier and more put together. They looking professional. And the residents and always looking clean and taken care of. I have also noticed an improvement in the types of activities offered. Residents seem very engaged in all sorts of activities from milk and cookies to bowling. amenities offered is the building has a huge amount of property. Any time I go to visit I see people walking outside and enjoying the weather. I've never had an issue with anyone there. If mom's stuff goes missing staff is more than happy to help. And I usually get a call or an email informing me that her stuff has been found. If I am ever not able to make it over there to see mom in person I can always call the building and they let me talk to her granted that she is up. I am so happy I chose this facility.

I went Pacifica at St. Andrews. The outside looked very nice but it was quite depressing inside. The person who was supposed to give us a tour was sick, so someone else gave us the tour. It was kind of awkward because she didn't know the answers to some of our questions. The dining area is beautiful because it is in the chapel part of the place, and they have a beautiful lawn. However, I didn't see any amenities or observe any activities. Also, the rooms were outdated and a little rundown.

Pacifica Senior Living St. Andrews did a nice job for us. The RN came out to see what condition my wife was in and inspected her. She suggested hospice care and was very helpful. The place looked nice, and the people were very kind. I really appreciated them. The room looked fine and adequate. It had a nice, full bathroom with a roll-in shower.

Lots of turnover, hard to get information on your family member, lost clothing and personal items, not a lot of engagement. Caregivers do their best but don't seem to be well trained or that happy with their jobs. It's not abusive but not much more than taking care of basic needs. Was great with previous owners!

My family decided that St Andrews is the right place for our mother. She is well cared for and engaged in social events daily. The activities are fun, the food could be better, but all in all, we love the place. The care givers are attentive and always go the extra mile. We searched all over Portland for the "right" place for mom and when we arrived at St Andrews we knew had found the place.

I didn't like St. Andrews, but I didn't have a lot of choice of where to take my mom, and she was only there for a short time or so. It was an older building, and the staff seemed to be made up of a lot of young people that did not know what was going on. I would come in there trying to get a little information, and the staff wasn't really helpful. The atmosphere was supposed to be friendly and warm and comfortable. This one was an older building; some of the other places had brand-new, much nicer, more modern buildings.

We already moved in my husband's grandmother. The name of the community is St Andrews Memory Care. It is a more faith based community, and she likes the location because it is nearby her two sons. All the staff is extremely friendly. They had all the services there like getting your hair done and nails done. The dining hall has a garden-like setting outside, and they have a garden club. It is a nice facility in a nice location. The room is really nice. It is like a studio room which has a kitchen area and bathroom area. It is a good size, and it seems fairly updated. It is like it had newer carpet, and it is kept in good condition and very clean. It met all our standards. I wouldn't say it is the most luxurious place because we couldn't afford the most luxurious place for our grandmother. We needed something that Medicaid would offer. But as far having all the basic things that we needed to be great for her living life, they have all those things. It is clean and neat. My husband looked around at other ones, but this is the one that he likes where he felt grandma would feel comfortable.
