My aunt is a current resident, and I can't say enough about the facility and the staff. Everyone is very friendly and always available to answer questions that we have. StoryPoint is very clean and rooms are spacious and accomodating to her needs. I would recommend for your Independent Living needs.

Storypoint has been a great fit for my dad to transition into after selling his home after 50 years. We were so worried he would feel confined, miss his gardening and the peacefulness of being at home. But…he is loving his new life. The facility is fantastic. Clean, contemporary, and updated. His apartment with a balcony gives him plenty of space and he even has a garage! The best thing is the number of activities and enrichment things to do!!! He says “if you are bored here, it’s your own fault”. They bring in entertainment, play games, have parties, watch events and even take field trips. Oh, and he is loving his garden club. The cafeteria has been great too. Dad is known to be particular about his food and beverages but the staff has been very accommodating and he brags at how great they are. He sits down for dinner and they immediately bring him his typical juices! We’re really impressed with the facility and the staff!!

We put a deposit to hold a room in the StoryPoint Pickerington. It's beautiful. It is light, very bright, and very clean-looking. Because of the way it's set up, it looks more like an apartment building versus a senior citizen place. It's just really, really nice. Sue was just wonderful, she was very, very sweet. My mom is a woman of faith and Sue shared what was available for her in that community. She was just very warm and personable. They've been through this recently with her mother-in-law, and so she just had a lot of helpful things to say. The dining area is very nice. It's set up kind of like a restaurant with lots of tables. When we got there, we did not have an appointment set up, but Sue said she had someone she was meeting with, and could talk with us after that. So, they set us lunch. It was kind of an off time, so we were the only two in the dining room, but they took our order, and it's just like a restaurant setting and the food was good. It was hot of course, because they just made it for us. So I hope it's that good daily for everybody. They have lots of things, sometimes they'll have music entertainment, which my mom would enjoy. They have Bible studies, which if she goes, she would enjoy those. There are lots of places that you can meet with your family outside of the apartment that she's in. They have a community outside. The room we reserved for my mother was on the first floor, and she had a little patio area right outside, so she could sit outside at a table and have coffee and devotions, or whatever. In the outdoors in the back they have a community garden and flowers. My mom was raised on a farm and did gardening and loves flowers. She can't do any of that anymore herself, but there's just a nice walk area outside where she could see what others are doing and she would enjoy that as well.

StoryPoint Pickerington was very nice. It was all in one building They had everything there. They had a dining room, snacks, a movie theater, bingo, games, and cards. They had a workout room. They had a lot of rooms that had balconies. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. I had lunch there, and it was very good and a nice variety.

Facility is nicely maintained with a friendly and caring staff. They go out of their way to accommodate the residents and truly lookout for their well being. They have expanded care that is available in the facility over the 3 plus years my mom has been there which will allow her to continue staying there without having to move to a dedicated assisted living facility.

After visiting several independent living facilities StoryPoint is by far the best. My mother has been a resident now for 4+ years. I am a snowbird and only child so the peace of mind I have with her being here is a wonderful value. We call it resort living. The facility is always clean, activity schedule has something for everyone and the restaurant style meal choices are the top 3 reasons she has chose to stay here. Having independence for the elderly is important for their mental health and happiness Having a washer and dryer in your unit is not available at all facilities but a must for mom.

Our parents moved into Story Point about 6 months ago. The SP staff treats our parents and the rest of us like family. The staff quickly learned what our parents like and how best to accommodate them in all ways. The staff is very attentive in a variety of situations regarding meals, checking in on them, and answering questions. Specifically during meals, our parents are treated with all their favorite items at each meal. Their drinks are always ready for them when they come down, and they are brought cookies for dessert after the meal. The accommodations are lovely. There are a variety of floor plans and we were able to select one that suited our parents. They feel very at home in their apartment and have everything they need. They were very hesitant to leave their previous residence but they settled in nicely at Story Point and quickly realized the benefits of all the conveniences and attention. We love the SP staff. They stay in close communication with us regarding our parents and how they are doing. We have come to know many of the other residents and they are all friendly and engaging. There are many activities planned each day and throughout the week. It seems there is something for everyone! We highly recommend Story Point!

I looked many places for my mom. When I visited Story Point I knew I had found my mom her home. The staff has ben amazing! Ryan, Sue, Ty, Shane, Gianni, the dining room staff, maintenance and the front desk staff! A+…….. This is a hard transition for most people including my mom however it makes my heart so happy when I call my mom and she sounds so happy and settled. We were most impressed by the sincere kindness of all that work at Story Point. They really care about each resident and it shows in their smiles, love and going the extra mile to help with whatever is needed. The facility is very clean, the apartments are well kept and spacious, the food is outstanding, the actives are well planned, and fun, and all who live in the community are very welcoming and kind. My mom needed to get back into the world and engage with her peers and this was the perfect fit! I highly recommend Story Point if your are looking for Independent Living for your loved one! My mothers apartment is the perfect size for her. Appliances are new and staff has been very helpful getting her used to using them. Staff is supportive and very friendly. You can tell she is in a very caring environment. Activities are similar to being on a cruise ship- there is always something going on. Cooking demonstrations. Games and music groups to name a few.

I enjoy my apartment because it's spacious and beautiful! It has a balcony where I can grow my flowers and other plants. A full kitchen with ample cabinet space. I love that I have a dishwasher as well! It's so convenient to have a washer and dryer in the apartment rather than have to walk down a hallway to do my laundry. The staff and residents here are so friendly. They are always willing to help me. Residents here enjoy activities the community provides. Such as word games, outings, chair volleyball, daily exercise, and we even have a cycling class with our very own Executive Director. The Life Enrichment team keeps the fun coming and keeps our residents social. The amenities here include things such as dinner included in our monthly rent, the morning courtesy check-in calls to ensure each resident is safe, 24-hour staffing, Laurus caregivers on-site to help you age in place. We also have complimentary maintenance, bi-weekly housekeeping and transportation provided at the community! I am very pleased to be a resident here and would recommend this community to anyone looking to keep their independence but yet have the assistance available when needed.

My mother has been quite happy with the food, staff, services, and living environment at this elegant facility. She loves her cheerful, sunlit apartment and our family is very pleased with her choice. We know she’s in good hands!

This is a beautiful community with exceptional staff! I don't think there are words for me to express how great they have been. Every staff member we've encountered has been extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. They truly care for each resident as if they were a member of their own family. There's plenty of space (but not so much space that it doesn't feel like a place you could call home), lots of natural light, and outdoor areas. The dining room is huge and also has a private dining room residents can reserve if they want to have a private dinner with their family, celebrate a b-day/holiday, etc. They also have a fantastic wellness center for staying fit, a community room for various activities, and my personal favorite community area is the Sky Lounge which has a huge walkout balcony with seating and also where you'll find residents frequently playing games, watching tv, doing puzzles, etc. The food is fantastic with a variety of options - my mom can be a very picky eater and I never have to worry that they won't be preparing something she'll eat and enjoy. Nutrition is a top priority and extremely important especially as we age. I don't think my mom has ever had a more nutritionally healthy diet than she does now, and she really enjoys having her meals prepared for her rather than cooking or just finding something in the fridge/freezer. We only looked at 2 apartments of the 1 bedroom floorplan, but the size and space were so perfect that we didn't need to look any further. She has a great floorplan with a kitchen, living area, bathroom, washer/dryer, bedroom, and a balcony. The apartments we toured were all up to date and the staff ensured that any issues or concerns with the apartment we chose were addressed and remedied as soon as possible. They have a variety of activities and outing with a monthly calendar and the staff go out of their way to get resident feedback on the types of food and activities they enjoy and incorporate them in the monthly calendar/menu. My mom enjoys bingo the most, but she's also participated in and enjoyed many other activities and outings she may not have tried otherwise. Family is also always welcome to join in any of the activities and it's been something we've enjoyed joining with her on many occasions. They also have special events/festivals for holidays, etc and I've been blown away by all of the entertainment, gifts, and overall experience of all of the events i've attended with my mom. Communication with the staff is outstanding, they always make sure I'm in the loop if there's something I need to be made aware of and they go out of their way to make themselves available if I need to get in contact with a staff member. It's been so nice to get to spend more quality time with my mom and seeing her happy and making new friends for the first time in a long time. We couldn't be happier with the decision to make this her new home.

I'm living here in StoryPoint Pickerington now. They're very caring people, very concerned about the conditions and the restrictions that are on my life from the medical aspect of things, and very helpful and fulfilling responsibilities for comfort, security, assistance, and things like that. They really strive to do well with the food. We have an exercise room and they have bingo and things like that for people to go that challenge you to interact with people. There are some activities where they'll go, take you to the store and things like that as needed. We have gone to a couple of activities outside and they have a bus, and we've gone in that bus to some of the activities, to kind of broaden our perspective on things. The apartment is kept clean weekly. There are cleaning staff that comes in, clean up, and arrange things for us. They will assist with personal needs and things like that if needed, making the bed and even helping with the showers and things like that. There are people that are certified to be able to do that for people that might need that kind of assistance as well. They try to keep the facility in a good, top-notch situation. They have a library. There's a reading room for people that want a little more privacy. There's a small meeting area for folks that might want to do, like a small group study, or something like that. They have a family room area where you come with a fireplace there and you can sit and chat and talk and things like that. And they have a small, I guess you would call it like a breakfast nook, where there are some smart finger foods, hand foods, things like that available, coffee, hot chocolate, and some water. There's a small gym area. They had several weeks back. They had a couple of sprinkler heads that froze up because of the drop in temperature. And so they are working on the exercise facility where the water got in and damaged some of the carpeting and some of the things there they're working on. They're working on a couple of other rooms that were also damaged by the water. And they've been working on that now for about a week and a half, they've had to do a lot of ceiling replacement painting, where they're trying to prevent bacterial growth and things like that.

StoryPoint Pickerington had nice apartments, nice and clean facilities with lots of activities, and the people seemed happy. The staff that I met during the tour was very friendly and helpful. It was very bright, clean, and nicely decorated. We didn't eat there but we saw the dining area and they had a little event going on, it was someone's birthday or something there, so it was very nice and clean. They have art, music, a library, movies, and outings, they've got everything.

The facility is very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There are many daily activities for residents to participate in. The only complaint we have is that work orders for room repairs are not done in a timely matter. Many times we've had to remind the management that the work in question still has not been taken care of.

The staff was wonderful and helping us move mom in and get her situated. Lauris has been accommodating and helpful. Everyone, from the cleaning people to the receptionists, to the administrative staff have been great. Love all the activities.

One of the newer facilities in Pickerington. Good location that is close to grocery stores and restaurants. Good food and available to residents easily. Nice community rooms. Lots of activities to participate in. Staff is really friendly and welcoming.

Alot of different floor plans to look at. Recommend knowing your budget and have and an idea of what must have furniture you want to bring. Staff was and has been responsive to my questions. StoryPoint Pickertington is in a great location. Close to stores, banks and medical institutions. For my family the dining amenity has been fantastic.

Love this facility. It has been such a blessing to our family to have a safe comfortable place for Mom. I have noticed the common area facilities are not as clean as they used to be. The elevators have never been cleaned. Specifically the floors of the elevators. I am not impressed with the “Laurus” nightly staff. I do not feel they reflect the excellence that Sycamore/Story Point has always upheld. I do want to give props to Sharon and Debbie at the front desk. They are AMAZING!! Thank you all for all you do!

First, I want to say that the only reason I didn’t give five stars, is because I feel that we can always improve… StoryPoint Pickerington has been a God send for my aunt, who really didn’t need to be in a nursing facility, but was unable to maintain her house on her own. Since moving into StoryPoint she has required some extended services and has done very well under Laurus services her overall health has improved since she is getting her meds as prescribed. The care givers are warm, friendly and loving toward her. I am unable to spend as much time with her as I would like due to outside obligations with work, family and also assisting my 90 year old father, I am comforted to know that she is in the care of StoryPoint Pickerington and Laurus.

I wish the cost to live there was not so expensive. I know it causes my parents a lot of stress. I think they do enjoy it there, and they do enjoy the different activities.

My dad has been a resident at Storypoint Pickerington for 3 years. He, overall, really likes it here. I am his daughter and I am here everyday. Storypoint is a very inviting and the staff are very nice. They have resident ambassadors that help you get to know your surroundings, introduce you to other residents and more. They provide a range of activities for those who enjoy being social. Only downfall is when they cancel an activity, they don't always have a good way to get the cancellation information to the residents. If your really picky about food, the menu may be a bit challenging, but if you like just about anything, the menu is great. The maintenance men are pretty on top of things. If they have to order a part it will take longer though. Housekeeping does light housekeeping in your appartment every other week, if you choose to take advantage it's included in the rent. Our location is without an Executive Director right now, but other Executive Directors are filling in till they can hire someone. In the mean time it seems to be running as smoothly as it can. As for current residents, many enjoy living here. You have a wide range of personalities and yes, a choice few are grumpy. If you need extra help with daily activities, for example, help getting up in the morning with assistance getting dressed or reminders to take medicine. Laurus provides these services and they are an in house daily care company. They are here 24/7 and offer different packages to taylor to what you need. This is not included in the rent. Overall the apartments are very nice and have a wide variety of floor plans. If this sounds inviting call and ask for Sue, she'll tell you all about us.

Storypoint offers a variety of room options that are spacious and updated. Kitchens have granite countertops and stainless appliances. Master bedroom closet is spacious with washer and dryer. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My dad has been happy here and enjoys the food and all amenities (exercise room, activities, and outings).

We chose them because it's easily accessible from where we live, we were looking for staff that was caring about the residents, and I wanted a nice, comfortable environment that was cared for and had various activities. They have a gym, a library, a movie theater, and a beauty parlor. They just recently started making some changes with meal service.

The staff is friendly and caring . The rooms are perfect . The community offers good food, friends, and activities..couldn't ask for anything more for my Dad !
