We like Holiday Beaverdale Estates very, very much. We liked that everything was included like the toilet paper, towels, and sheets. Those are all included, as well as all the amenities and the regular stuff that you look for. It's just amazing. The people were wonderful. We met several of the residents, and they were all happy and upbeat. It was a wonderful experience. Everyone I talked to was very upbeat and very knowledgeable about what they were doing. We got a bag of cookies on our way out and those were very, very good, so the chef was good, too. They want us to come back and have a meal with them sometime, so that's definitely on our list of things to do. For amenities, they have game rooms and a library, and they have fitness people there available for help if you need some rehab or physical fitness.

I really liked Holiday Beaverdale Estates, and I liked the sizes of their apartments. The place was really nice and the price was very reasonable. The patios were really nice. They had massages and physical therapy. They also wore a Life Alert. The guy who assisted me during the tour was nice.

I wish Holiday Beaverdale Estates was closer. I think that if it had been closer to us than the other place, then I would have wanted my mother-in-law to be there. It is just a little bit farther, and I wanted to make it as close to us as possible. It seemed more homey to me though. They had a beautiful courtyard in the back. It was a place where I could see my mother-in-law sitting and relaxing. The person who assisted me was very helpful. I wasn't able to sample their food, but they were cleaning up and I could see that they were doing a good job. For amenities, they have a game room that has a pool table. They do Friday night movies. They have Sunday service and they have a board that has other activities like bingo six days a week. They have competitions for various things, and they get prizes like Beaverdale Bucks is what they called them.

My father has moved into Holiday Beaverdale Estates. His experience has been great. Everybody that works there is so kind and helpful. The other residents are really nice. It is just a great environment. The room is very nice. It is perfect for him. He has a small dog, and he has a one-bedroom. It is just the perfect size for him. It is very clean and very nice. The staff is very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend them. Their food is very good. I love the openness of dining area, and it is very inviting. My dad has talked to people. He likes to play cards. He is going to try to get coordinated to play with a card group and join some activities.

The person who toured me around Beaverdale Estates was real nice, very thorough, and empathetic towards showing me what I needed to see. She took me to a studio apartment, which was what I wanted, and it was real nice. I liked the way it was laid out. It felt very roomy even though everything was basically in one room. It's got a nice kitchenette, bathroom, and a nice patio that could at least accommodate three or four chairs. It's in a wooded area, so it looked out onto a forest-like situation, which gave it a nice view. They have a fitness room (where I saw a girl helping out a couple of other residents with certain exercises), an area with a pool table and a television (where they could play video games, play cards, or board games), and then the activity room (where they have group activities like bingo and so on). The dining area had a piano, which was nice. The menu looked real good. It was first class dining. It felt like you would be staying in a hotel. They have excellent staff that were friendly and helpful.

Beaverdale Estates was okay but the whole thing was not a good location for me to visit mom. It was much older but it was very stately. It was nice and it was comfortable. The staff seemed very nice too.

I toured Beaverdale Estates. It was very clean, the staff seemed very friendly, and the people that were living there seemed very happy. I thought the rooms were rather small for the cost, though. The location was very convenient. They're not that far from the major grocery stores and the mall. It's actually quite a busy area in Des Moines.

I loved Beaverdale Estates. Financially it was closer to what we can afford, but if they need any kind of help after 7:00 p.m., my brother-in-law has got to use his pendant to call the fire department. My big concern is, when I spoke with Laurie, she said that they can go out at night outside the building because it is apartment style building accommodations. She said that they have a key to go back in. We live very close to Beaverdale Estates. My concern is that since he has learned this area fairly well, he will try walking that, and we're coming into winter, and I can just see this happening. Otherwise, I know he would love Beaverdale Estates. I was greeted by Laurie. She is, I think, the director of that. She was very sweet, we kind of laughed and chatted as we went in because it was raining. They were all just very nice, and I even met some staff in the hallways, and they were very, very sweet. Everyone greeted me and I thought that was great. I thought they did a great job keeping it up. Then I rode the elevator; I thought it was all working properly, it was nice also. I loved the view, it's kind of got a walkaround, you can look down, and it's very pretty. They did a great job.

We toured Beaverdale Estates. It was very nice, the rooms were very clean, and the people were very nice. I do think we ate there that day, and it was very nice. It's in a great location. It was part of our preliminary searches, but we just aren't ready to move yet. I would recommend looking into it. The people that were living there seemed to be happy with it.

Beaverdale Estates was slightly outdated, but of the places I visited, it would have been my choice for my father-in-law. The staff seemed very engaged with the residents. The room was slightly outdated, but clean. It had just been repainted and it had new carpets. I was happy enough. There were some people in the game room. There are people there that should be in an assisted living facility. The staff helps them more than what they're really paying for, but they just do it because that's what the residents need.

My mother is at Beaverdale Estates. It's pretty clean. They have activities, and the food is good. Most of the staff is OK. The rooms are pretty good, but they don't have any cooking facilities. With it being independent living, I was kind of surprised. It's an older facility, but the upkeep is fine. They need to replace some things because you can tell they're pretty old. The showers can be modernized.

My father moved into Beaverdale Estates. It's a very nice place, kept up very well, and i very convenient. He has a really nice, newly painted, and carpeted, studio apartment. He could get all his collection of things there, so he's very happy with it. Everybody is very nice, they're taking good care of him, and the food is good. The staff is nice and very helpful.

Beaverdale Estates was an excellent, warm, comfortable place. The dining area was nice and very pleasant. The food was excellent. The selection was great. They had all kinds of activities and games, like Wii bowling and throwing a beanbag across the room; they were having a tournament and everybody was headed down there for it. They had a library, a very nice craft activities room, and a very nice kitchen that you can use if you want to bake cookies or do something fun for yourself. It was very nice. There were lots of activities.

Beaverdale Estates was nice. Everything was pleasant over there. The people were great, and the manager was very welcoming. It was a nice place. We went to a couple different floor plans; I looked at them, and they were fine.

Beaverdale Eastaes was extravagantly decorated and very elegant. The rooms were beautiful, but the one that we saw was pretty small for $2,000 a month. They had an exercise room, library, activity rooms, and dining room, where they served three meals a day. The staff was knowledgeable.

I am considering Beaverdale Estates. I liked that the dining area is easy to get to, they serve three meals a day, and have an open cafeteria style throughout the day, so you can get coffee and fruits until 9:00 p.m. The place seemed pretty clean, and the people that gave the tour were nice.

I liked Beaverdale Estates. I have nothing against it. I am just not ready to have somebody cook all my meals, and wait on me like that. I was in two or three rooms, and I thought they were very nice. They were very friendly downstairs in the lobby. They had coffee, and cookies out. My son had eight of us over, and had a dinner catered in to their private dining-room. Everybody was very friendly. I had dinner there a couple of times, and it was very good. They had entertainment come in. They had cards, games, and exercise. They have just about anything. It was a nice place.

We toured Beaverdale Estates. The people were nice, and it was a very clean and nice place. The apartments were just a little bit small. They had all kinds of activities, like singing and bingo. The staff was very efficient. We ate lunch there, and the food was fantastic.

We visited Beaverdale Estates. They were very friendly, and I liked the facilities a lot. The meal I ate and the staff were good. If I had a little more income, I would be more interested. They had efficiencies and one-bedrooms, which were quite spacious with lots of storage space. I was really pleased with it.

I thought Beaverdale Estates was wonderful. We didn’t have a lot of time that day, but we did stay for lunch, and it was really good. She told us about the activities, but we didn’t participate in any. The dining room was very nice, the food was excellent, and the menu was very good. Its setting was very nice, pleasant, and very clean.

I liked Beaverdale Estates. I liked the staff, and I enjoyed the meal. I was even invited to come back again for kind of a gathering that they had a few weeks later. A girl showed me a room that was kind of like an efficiency. It was a little closer to what I could afford. The food was awesome. I really enjoyed the girl who showed me around. She was really warm.

I am staying at Beaverdale Estates Des Moines, and I have decided that is where I will be. I will not look any further as I am comfortable here. It’s been four months since I have been here. They offer three meals a day, and we get light housekeeping. Everybody here is friendly. I always have somebody to talk to and do something with. The rooms are spacious. I have one bedroom and a living room. They also provide transportation on shopping or to doctor's appointments.

I am a resident of Beaverland Estates, and it is very good. It is very comfortable, warm, and homey. It feels like it's your home, and everybody remarks about that when they come here. They are the best independent living for people that are retiring. You have all your meals. There are lots of activities. We have all kind of entertainment coming in. We have our own choir made up of the residents. I am in the choir, and I love being in the choir. We have a choir director, and we have musical managers that are very talented. We have two different kinds of bingo and all kinds of games. We have bean bags, baseball, Wii, and we have bowling with that. We have movies on Sunday with popcorn and refreshments. We have gospel singing on Sunday afternoon. We have two wonderful libraries. We have morning exercises every day. It's just busy all the time. It has good managers; their office doors are open all the time, and you can walk in their office and talk to them any time. It is a beautiful place. Everything is very nice. The apartments are lovely, and the maintenance is perfect. They clean the apartments every week. They shampoo the carpet in the hallway on each floor and the carpets in the rooms. It is not new, but it is very well kept, and it looks new. We have big open spaces, and its very beautiful. I don't think they come much better than this. I am very happy. We are a good community. Everybody have a good time, everybody gets along, and we have good friends.

From the time that I walked in the door, I actually felt the warmth and love. The Managers Aaron and Margaret were very helpful with answering all of my questions. I am going to tell all of my friends and family. I just wish that I had known about them 10 years ago. I could have had great memories even sooner.
