My mother moved into Cedarhurst of Troy last month. So far, they're doing a very nice, very good, and thorough job. They had a situation where a water line broke and just the response that they did to get it cleaned up, and just the actions they took during a problem, they handled it very well. They're still in the cleanup stage of it, but I think they did that very well, which told me they're looking after their building very well. Instead of just letting it kind of dry up, they hired a professional company to come in and clean it up. She said the meals have been great. I have not had a meal with her. But she said the meals have been great. I've been out there while she's eating and the meals look fine. She is participating in what she can in simple things like bingo, and trying to help with crossword puzzles. She was able to bring her cat with her, which was a big reason why we went there.

It was awesome. I spent two nights with my father and both next-mornings, I'm sitting there and they bring in breakfast. I couldn't ask for anything better. The staff treated dad great. He was in assisted living there until I put him on hospice. The two breakfasts I had there were fine. We could not be there with him, and we couldn't even go in until he went into hospice because of the COVID situation. The problem was with COVID, they couldn't even get out of their rooms.

It was OK. It was nice, but I just didn’t think it had everything that my parents would be happy and I was a little concerned about it being close to the lake. My father having dementia, I was afraid that maybe he’d walk off and could end up down there by the lake. They showed me a one-bedroom -- which was clean and organized -- but I felt it was rather small. They were kind of busy that day, so I didn’t really get to see a whole lot. I did see the dining area, and it was nice enough. I thought it was small, but it was nice. The staff seemed very cordial.

I toured. The staff is good. They have plenty of parking if you have your own car.

It was out in the country, and it was very nice. They had all the services that I needed. The people were very friendly. They invited us to lunch since we were there at lunchtime. The studio apartments were kind of small, but the other apartments were very nice. They had a stove and a microwave.

My mother-in-law was in assisted living here. She locally lives in Troy, and she knew a lot of people there. We knew several of the people and staff too. It just worked for us. It was a beautiful facility, and she was satisfied there. She had just gotten to the point where she required more care than they were able to give her, but she still lived there when she passed away.

My mother-in-law lived here for three months. It was nice enough for her. The only thing was they didn't have the memory care, and that was really what I was looking for my own mother. The food was good. It seemed like they were very accommodating. They tried to help the residents as much as they needed. It just seemed like a nice place to be; we felt comfortable there.

It is small. I think most of their clientele need some type of assisted living. My dad is 74 years old and in really good health right now and very active. It is an option, but I don't think he's at that level yet right now.
