I went to Trustwell Living at Rock Run Place. It seemed like a pleasant place. It wasn't really big with lots of activities that my mom wouldn't do, but they have activities. It wasn't a huge place like some of the others, but it wasn't too small. They had a lot of housing, but it looked like a nice place. The studios looked pretty nice. I wouldn't mind living in them myself. It looked like they had a good variety of food. It looked very clean. The ladies were helpful. I sat in the office and talked with a couple of them.

Trustwell Living at Rock Run Place Assisted Living looked like a fabulous place. The people looked nice and the workers seemed very nice. The rooms and apartments were nice. The facility itself was great. It just couldn't suffice my father's needs. We saw the dining room, the activities room, and the two rooms that they had available. They gave us a coupon to come back and try the food. They also gave us bakery goods when we left, like cookies. There was a volunteer veteran who was going and knocking on the different doors and getting the residents ready for some activities. They were looking forward to going with him and you could tell that they enjoyed that.

I'm in Trustwell Living at Rock Run Place Assisted Living. I love the staff. The ladies are very nice. I have no problem whatsoever with them. The only issue is that the elevators are kind of tight. Even though I have a motorized wheelchair, I do sometimes have difficulty because while I'm trying to slowly back out, the door will begin to close. It's not much of a time-lapse for the door to remain open. This is for people with canes, crutches, wheelchairs, and things like that. You're not giving them much of a chance to clear the elevator door before it closes on them. I don't like where the light switch is in the bathroom. You have to go all the way in the bathroom, turn and go near where the sink is passing the shower and the toilet. You got to go all the way to where the sink is, that's where the light switch is. I think they could have put a better place for the light switch right outside the door. The food was very bad when I first moved here. It was all bland, all one flavor, maybe because the seniors had different diets. I wasn't the only one who complained and then they switched services and that food is very nicely seasoned and very nicely prepared. It's much improved. I have a two-bedroom, which is very nice. I was able to get my dresser, my chest of drawers, and a desk in my bedroom. The closet is a walk-in, so it's very nice. I use the extra bedroom for some of the other things that I didn't need. The living room is a nice size. I don't like the cable because I wanted to keep my dish, but here they don't want a satellite on the roof, not even if it's clipped to it. They're forcing you to use Xfinity, and the channels are not that hot. The WI-FI is horrible. It doesn't work at all. You're just stuck with whatever they give you. You don't have a choice. The room has a kitchenette. You can't cook, but you can have a microwave. They take them to the casino. They have transportation if you have a doctor's appointment. They have happy hour where they serve them white and red wine. They have days where they have different restaurants you can order from and you meet in a room out, away from the dining room area and it's nice. The people are very friendly. They have karaoke night, they have people who come in or you can get up and do karaoke. They have arts and crafts. They have bingo, poker, and Uno. The staff is wonderful. I'm quite comfortable where I am. I only go to a couple of activities. The residents seem to enjoy it. They all come and knock on your door and let you know "We're getting ready to do this and if you want to come down, come on down." They have outings. They take them to the casino. Compared to some of the other facilities, I think this is kind of cheaper but then there were places where you had a full kitchen, which is what I wanted. We had some flooding and then the intercom system went down and we weren't able to call out for two days. We would have to hope that the caregivers will come and knock on the door to see if we were in need. There was no backup plan and that was kind of tacky and kind of scary, too, because on the first floor where it was flooded, they had the seniors come out and put them in the dining room. On the second floor, they wanted to do the same thing, but there was no need because there was no flooding on the second floor. We weren't told the next day that the system was still down. Someone just happened to come by. They never expected that to happen, but it's up and running now. I just wish I can have DISH satellite and I would be 100% OK. I wanted to call the company Trustwell and talk to them and see if it's possible because Rock Run said, no, but Trustwell might say yes.

We went to Rock Run Place Assisted Living. There was a miscommunication somehow, and the girl who was supposed to give us the tour wasn't there. The activity director gave us the tour and she did fine. It felt a little more like a nursing home. It's not something that Mom would enjoy at this juncture. The room was fine. It was a studio that we looked at, which felt a little confining. The only thing that we saw was that they were going to be starting a game, but we had the activity director giving us the tour, so they were waiting for her. The one thing that wouldn't be ideal for my mother-in-law is there was a very set eating schedule there. They had a dining area. I met just the lady at the front desk and then the activity director.

My first time visiting my mother. I was in horror because her bed had feces on it, it was on her fabric footboard of her new bed it was on the wall and floor smeared and walked throughout the floor ; it had been there long enough to be dried out as well. When brought to the attention of the staff I received an apology and and a thank you for cleaning it up. When I was cleaning it up I moved the bed and the feces was pushed under the bed. Feces was also on her nightstand light. I arrived shortly after her lunch, she had food on her and her hands had feces on them. I was very heart broken that the staff seemed very uninterested in the residents. I’m hoping that this was an isolated incident and that my mom will be given the attention and dignity that every human that suffers deserves. She had been at another facility and fell and never had incidents. She comes here and in a week she is labeled hostile and cops are called and she falls and her entire head is swollen and discolored and the staff pokes her head and says yeah she’s swollen. They up her meds to keep her docile since she’s considered hostile, and suddenly she’s in palliative care??? Hmmm guess I might need to call my lawyers. I
