My sister moved into Lakeview Memory Care Community and it's working out just beautifully. I couldn't say enough nice things about it. So far, it's the most tremendous place I've been in. When I first went in, it just seemed like it would be perfect for her. And I haven't been disappointed at all. It's just perfect. They are tremendous people - the nurses that they have there and all the help. I have not had one unpleasant experience. They've all been just purely wonderful experiences with all the people there and the care that they give my sister. I haven't found a place better than this. We chose to be in a room with a partner because it's cheaper, but it has been tremendous. It has turned out just perfectly. She has a wonderful roommate. The rooms are so well-kept, and everything is so clean. Every day they're cleaning the room and do what's necessary. They shower her twice a week and they care for her other needs every day. We're not allowed into the room where they eat. I think it's a good idea because they want them to get to eat and talk with each other. If they have a family there, then they never get to communicate with the people who are there. So, I think their idea is very good to do that. She has enjoyed the activities and they have activities every single afternoon, which I think is remarkable.

Lakeview Memory Care Community was a very nice place. It's all on one level and they have 24-hour nursing staff and a lot of activities for the residents. They don't want them sitting in their rooms. The hallways are extremely wide for more than one wheelchair going back and forth, then they have meals that seem to be pretty awesome. We went there during lunchtime and it smelled great. The place was also very, very clean. There was no odor at all. Their hallways are decorated with older pictures and references that the older people would remember. They're not putting anything new out there that they would have no clue of who it was. We just really liked the place. They're awesome people. That's why we chose it. We actually had a phone conversation with the person who toured us before we went there. She was very detail oriented about everything that goes on there. She told us everything as far as how the assessment is done to figure out which level of care my dad needs. When we went to visit the facility, she answered any questions we had, and she loves working there.

My dad has been in Lakeview Memory Care. We spoke to 14 different places in a two-day period and this community was who we judged everybody against. When we want to come we need to make an appointment to make sure we can social distance and that there will be plenty of space. When we go visit we check-in and we have to wear masks. They let us in through the back gate and escorts us to where my dad is at, then we sit down and visit however long we want to. Then we call the front gate, they take my dad inside, and escort us back out. They are not allowing people to go out of the facility and they've been COVID-free for quite a long time; they very much want to keep it that way. At first, he wasn't getting the type of breakfast that he likes so he went and talked to them. Now he is getting the kind of food in the morning that he likes and he doesn't really complain about the food. It is a single-story facility and I don't have to worry about my dad getting in the elevator and going up and down.
