K & W Care Homes was a very nice facility. The owners were healthcare professionals, so you could tell that they care. The residents expressed how much they appreciate staying there and that the level of care that they received was very good. They had rooms that were shared and then they had private rooms, and they were all very clean. And then they had areas for social gatherings. They also had a beautiful deck so that their residents could sit outside. The staff that we met during the tour was very informative.

K & W Care Homes - Douglasville was nice, but I liked the other place better. The rooms were spacious, but they weren't quite as big as the other ones. My brother-in-law smokes and the smoking area was a little bit further than he felt that he could walk. It was a very clean facility. The staff during the tour were very kind, considerate, and helpful. One of the biggest things he was looking for was a church and they had that. They had cards and board games, and they had people that would come out and sit with them and play board games and stuff like that.

K & W Care Homes - Douglasville was a nice home setting. It makes you feel like you're at home. The rooms were very warm and inviting. They have a bed, a flat screen television, a closet, and a recliner chair. It's a very comfortable environment. If I had to stay there, I would stay there myself. I met with the owners, K & W (that's their first initials). It's a husband and wife team. They were very interested in myself and my father to see how they can help, and they also wanted to get to know who I am (as his caregiver) and who he is (as a possible resident). They were very attentive and accommodating. I was actually there while they were eating lunch, and the food was a homecooked meal from the staff there. They were doing bingo right before they started eating lunch.

Our homes are locally owned and operated by 2 Registered Nurses with over 30 years of combined Nursing experience. In our homes, our Caregivers/CNAs are trained to properly care for senior adults with long term disabilities, physical limitations ,early dementia , depression and a host of other health conditions. Our primary focus is to provide our residents with a safe and secure environment where they can comfortably relax and enjoy day-to-day life in a fun and family atmosphere.
Our 12 beds Douglasville Home is conveniently located on Highway 5, with quick and easy access to Atlanta, Cobb, Marietta, Lithia Springs, Fairburn, Perimeter Stone Mountain and Conyers area.
Services:
Meals
Caregivers will prepare nutritious meals daily. Special diets are prepared as needed.
Housekeeping
Caregivers will perform light housekeeping services that include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms (sinks, showers, baths and toilet), cleaning kitchen (sinks, appliances, counters, taking out the trash and assist with tidying all rooms.
Errands
Caregivers will only assist with errands when needed for urgent situations. Transportation arrangements can be made in advance with a third party vendor; however, family members are strongly encouraged to assist and accompany their loved ones on personal outings (All appointments, pharmacy, post office, and personal shopping).

Caregiver will assist/help organize daily activities (reading, games or assist with walks outside)
