Vitality Living Upland Park

Vitality Living Upland Park was beautiful, but the cost for the independent living was way beyond my mother's ability and I don't have the extra funds monthly to pay the difference. It was a wonderful facility. The activities that were available on the independent living side, I understand, are also available to the assisted living so that the two different sides socialize and I thought that was wonderful. Everything about the facility was lovely, but the least expensive one-bedroom was not very large, and in the small and the large rooms, the washers and dryers were located in the closet. I don't think anybody will be able to easily get access to their clothes because the washer and dryer were stackable. I would have not liked having it located that way. That was just one little negative thing. I noticed nothing that would make me think that it was not stellar. Everything looked wonderful.

We will be moving into Vitality Living Upland Park. They have adult living and townhomes. They have a main building with independent living, assisted living, and memory care. It looks like a resort. It's gorgeous. We are in adult living. It's amazing. It's aesthetically beautiful. It's very nicely decorated and because it's new, it has a very bright appearance. The colors are bright. It's very attractive. The staff was amazing, very personable, very caring, and very spiritual. One thing I like is that they have a nice variety of food. We are vegan and we don't eat any meat or seafood and there was plenty that we could eat there. It's a restaurant. They give you a $100 allowance in the restaurant each month and the parking is very reasonable. They have a movie theater where they serve popcorn and snacks, a library, a beauty salon, a nail salon, a spa where they can get massage, a gym, and housekeeping even for active adults. They have transportation to activities and shopping. The food was good.

I visited Vitality Living Upland Park for a friend. Before I ever stepped through the doors, I was impressed because I liked where Vitality was located. You had access to all the shopping and any other venues in the area. The building in itself I was pleased with how they looked. They're modern and up-to-date. Walking through the door, it was very bright, not dark colors. I thought that was very uplifting. I like the salesperson that I met with. She presented the place very well. The rooms were spacious, the bright colors, your room would be your one bedroom. The bathroom was big and very accommodating if you had some limitations. I liked the fact that the kitchen was open. I liked the fact that there was vinyl laminate, I was really impressed. They showed me the movie theater, the library, the balconies where residents can sit out and they had a fireplace there, the beauty salon and nail salon, where they had a billiard table. And I liked the fact they had an open area on the first floor where you had access to different beverages and pastries at any time. The dining rooms were expensive and they're very nice.

We toured Vitality Living Upland Park. The facilities were the best. They're very nice and clean. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very nice. They had church and they were doing bingo that night. They had arts and crafts and movie nights, too.
