The physical facilities were clean without being antiseptic. While there was no getting around using hospital beds with rails, the rooms still made every effort to have some feel of a personal room, rather than a hospital. The staff was attentive and always had reports of how she was doing without having to look it up. She got bedsores but our family never faulted the staff because she was so stubborn, short of dragging her out of bed you couldn't get her to walk more than she had to. The staff cared for the sores and always did their best, but I don't think it was a reflection on their care that she got them. They were very caring as she became confused and we're grateful for the care she received.
