I had a great-uncle who was in Jackson Square Nursing Home last in 2011 and I visited him there multiple times. Overall the facility was clean and the staff were tolerant, but they seem to be very understaffed. Asking for anything out of the ordinary means you'll have to wait. My uncle was there temporarily--it was for about 3 months--after hip surgery. In terms of his medical needs, the staff was on top of things and my family really appreciated that. The facility also had activities on a daily basis and I found that this really helped my uncle to keep his spirits up during rehab for his hip. The physical therapist who worked with him was excellent!The only critical thing that I can say, which isn't even the fault of the facility, is that it is in a rather crime-riddled area. My sister's car was broken into during a visit. They do have a parking lot though, and that was the only incident like that which occurred during the three months we frequented Jackson Square.Overall, I found that Jackson Square provided adequate nursing services to my uncle.
