As a professional in the area, I have referred clients to the Meadows, which is an independent living community, which serves seniors and handicapped individuals, living in the Wharton, Tx area. This community offers HUD assistance, making it more affordable for those on limited income.

Several of my clients live in this community and I personally have been involved with this apartment complex, talking to staff & many of the residents. As one resident told me: "This place is ok but it could be alot better if they (managing staff) kept it up more & added some security."

In my opinion, until improvements are made, I would look at other options, if available in the area, for a living setting.
