I first discovered PearlCare through the suggestion of one of my close friends who had used the service for her late step mother as she reached the end of her life. She loved the staff and the convenience of the service so I decided to give it a shot with my grandmother. Three years ago my grandmother had a major stroke which left her paralyzed from the waste down and unable to speak. My mother and I decided that we could take care of her at her home since we lived near by, but we knew we were going to need some help. I contacted PearlCare's companion care services and scheduled an interview to discuss my grandmothers needs. The person I spoke with was very friendly and helped me create a daily care plan for my grandmother.Using the plan we created, PearlCare regularly sent nurses to my grandmother's home to aid her with eating, bathing, taking medicine and many other things. They were available 24 hours a day and offered very reasonable rates for their service. I would definitely recommend PearlCare to anyone who is struggling to take care of a loved one.
On my recent trip to NY, I had the pleasure of meeting with Evan, one of the owners of Pearlcare Medical Staffing. I live in California, but my brother who lives in NY has recently been diagnosed with ALS. I researched the net and began talking to Evan who was most courteous and understanding of the situation. Although Evan was not able to meet our needs at this time, he was most helpful and put us in touch with someone who could.
