My name is Greg Adair, founder of Affordable Home Care. I understand your pain. Long ago I was running a nursing home. I heard patients shuffling through the halls. They were moaning, crying and aimlessly wandering during shift change. This experience tugged at my heartstrings. I knew my own Mother and Father could not get the care they deserved in an institutional or nursing home setting, with the typical model of one Personal Assistant caring for up to twenty patients. There had to be a better way!
It was because of this experience that, in 1989 I created live in care as a specialty in the Metro Detroit Michigan area. I found that in home care eliminates the fear, agitation and confusion typically associated with unfamiliar faces in a nursing home setting.
You want to make the right choice when it comes to selecting an in home care agency, but sometimes people hastily jump into home care situations without learning all the facts, resulting in poor decisions they later regret. Often other family members don’t even get involved, but are quick to find fault. All of this can add to the burden and stress that you already feel.
Here I am over 30 years later and I still see people wrestling with the decision of how to best provide in home care for their loved ones. I think that Affordable Home Care is an excellent choice for someone that is living independently and who prefers to live in the privacy of their own home and that is looking for some outside supportive services and assistance for them self, a friend or a family member when needed. Affordable Home Care offers their clients a vast majority of services and assistance. They offer their clients personal care services, dressing, bathing, incontinence care and assistance, meal preparation of nutritional meals for their clients comfort and overall physical health. They provide Therapists for their clients, Home visit Nurses, visiting Physicians to their clients and an array of various other services to their clients needs as PRN.
In addition to they also provide their clients with respite care, short term care, long term care and 24/7 care on a daily basis for their clients individuals needs as necessary. They provide their clients with personal care plans and assistance, assistance with their activities of daily living, cleaning, and laundry chores. They also have a vast majority of various other supportive services and assistances for their clients’ everyday needs as PRN. In general, I would rank Affordable Home Care with a five stars rating for their excellence in home care.
