We moved mom to HarborChase of Tallahassee and I'm pleased with her experience so far. She seems very content and feels like she's getting the right level of care. So, I'm happy about it. Mom has a nice- sized room. There's plenty of room to move around, which is helpful since she is using a wheelchair for pretty much all of her mobility. The floor plan and the way it's laid out makes it easier to get around in her room. Mom mentioned the other day that the food was better than where she was previously, so she seemed overall happy with that and the dining room is a nice setup. It's pretty open and well-kept up. The staff is very friendly, and very helpful, and have gone above and beyond to help her get there quickly. So, I've been pleased with them. They have different music groups or individuals that come in and someone that does craft activities with them. I know they were talking about having bingo available, too. For those that are interested, they have an outing each week, maybe more than that, to go to different shopping centers here in town. They have a salon for those who want to get their hair done and I think they have physical therapy that happens there on the property. There are quite a few things that are available for them and we're just getting familiar with them ourselves. Seems like everybody that she interacts with is pleasant and helpful. She's very, very pleasing and I've found that to be the same for me and we aren't spending much more at all, in comparison.

My parents were at HarborChase of Tallahassee, but it just didn't work out for us. They weren't very organized and it just wasn't a good situation. They weren't very coordinated and they wouldn't give us a lot of things that we needed. It was just a bad experience. They need to improve primarily the communication between staff, because when I would be told information from one staff member, I would be talking to another staff member, and I'd get different information. So, it didn't seem like they were working in concert together. They weren't communicating with each other. I'm not sure if there was just mistraining or it was misguided information, but I really didn't feel confident that my folks were going to be cared for as I thought that assisted living would be. I could say that their nursing staff was above average. There wasn't a lot of activity. There was confusion with the schedule. Nobody seemed to know when the beautician was going to be in.

HarborChase of Tallahassee was a very clean and very nicely kept place. The thing I did not like about it was when I got there, there were rainbow flags everywhere, and the lady that showed us around was so proud to let me know that her residents had a gay pride parade the day earlier, walking around the property, waving their rainbow flags. I think that was ridiculous and I don't think they need to promote that lifestyle for that facility. The rooms and everything else was excellent.

I am so glad we have found Harbor Chase Tallahassee. My mother has lived there for almost a year now and the staff has always been very kind and helpful- As an only child living out of town, it gives me comfort to know that my mother is being cared for in a clean, safe environment she enjoys. The staff truly seems to care about their residents AND their families. They have been so wonderful to us and we are thankful.

The Memory Care facility is one of the best in Tallahassee. I recently visited twice daily for several months when a loved one was living there. I found the employees at all levels to be professional and attentive to residents always responding to their needs as well as possible. The staff at all levels are very communicative 24/7 about the needs of the residents and requests from family members. The facility was kept clean and pleasant and residents took part daily in numerous activities that genuinely interested the residents. Entertainment was often brought in for the residents to enjoy. The nursing staff is superb, being professional, knowledgable, and always available when family members had a concern.

My father is at the HarborChase of Tallahassee. It's good, and the staff is nice. We've had a couple of minor incidents, but it seems to be resolving itself. Aside from that, I would recommend them. Because it's memory care, the activities are not what I was hoping for, but they do the best that they can. He likes their food. What the front end office sales people promised and what you actually get are two different things sometimes. The working staff on a day-to-day basis is great, but I'm struggling with the admin and sales staff. His apartment is a bit smaller than what I was hoping for, but it's fine for what he needs.

My uncle is in HarborChase of Tallahassee. He appears to be comfortable there. They have physical therapy, memory game, and they take them out periodically to shopping and excursions. The staff is very friendly and they aim to be of assistance. My only concern is they don't have enough people employed to take care of a lot of what's needed. They work hard to do it, but they need many of them.

HarborChase of Tallahassee had a super nice staff. I was impressed with that. They've been around for several years now. The outside was OK, but I didn't see anyone outside. The lady who showed me around was super nice and very helpful. The activity area was really nice. I saw several people engaged in activities and a couple of people sitting outside that day. For its age, it's pretty well maintained. It has a nice reception area. When I went in, my name was at the front desk, so it looked like I was an honored guest.

I thought HarborChase of Tallahassee was very nice and quiet. The staff seemed nice. The rooms were a lot smaller than where my friend is. The cleanliness seemed fine.

I like HarborChase. It had a home-like, appearance and wasn't too far from my home. I like this community for my mom. We looked at a one-bedroom, which had a kitchenette and a bathroom. In that particular room, there was an odd-shaped corner, so it had a little bit more space. The rooms were bright, and there were plenty of windows. The dining room was nice. People were friendly, but I mostly talked to the sales person.

HarborChase of Tallahassee was a very nice facility. We had lunch with them; the food was very nice. Good location but not as good for us. They had more spacious grounds, and the facility layout was very good. They were under renovation, so it was a little distracting, but we understood that. They have a few rooms that have a private entrance which would be very nice. They had a full schedule of activities for the guests. They could improve on the entrance to the community.

When we were first visiting, the overall experience at HarborChase of Tallahassee was very good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very nice, clean, and bright. The hallways were wide. We did eat there. The dining experience was very good. The price ended up being higher than we wanted, but we had to choose them because they had the correct license. The people try very hard. Unfortunately, the housekeeping department was really poor. Our mother’s clothes were not being washed, and when they did, they got permanently wrinkle-ruined; however, they’re trying to fix the things I don’t like. They could improve on communication between care staff, housekeeping staff, and nursing staff. That circle of communication about a resident isn’t there so things fall through the crack: people living in rooms that are too hot, not getting their medicine, or eating the wrong foods.

I liked HarborChase, and it was lovely but definitely conservatively more expensive. Just very nice and clean -- there seemed to be a lot of activities and things going on while we were there, and the staff all seemed really nice. I had good impressions of it.

The staff at HarborChase was very helpful. The facility was very beautiful and clean but a little pricey. There were very nice, spacious rooms, and the private rooms were beautiful. They had a lot of activities.

My cousin is at HarborChase. The facility is very nice. It is nice, clean and cheerful. The help is good. There is a nurse 24/7. It is just a good place. It is expensive though.

I preferred HarborChase because it was closer. My visit there was good. It was more like living in an apartment, that's why I like it. I like both facilities I visited, but based on whereI thought my mother would be more comfortable at, I thought she would like it better at HarborChase.

Everything about HarborChase was wonderful as well. They accommodated both the assisted living and memory care. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were all very nice and spacious. I believed they were encouraging me to put my mom in a single room in the assisted living, and my dad in a single room in the memory care, which was a separate building right behind them. Their dining facility was very nice. I saw the list of activities, I met the activities director, and they seemed like a lot of fun and seemed to have good activities for senior citizens. Everything seemed to be nice, but they cost more money and they were further from my house.

HarborChase was really good. The facility was clean and well-kept. The layout of the facility was different from most assisted living facilities. They have a clubhouse in the middle of the building and the rooms were also arranged in clusters, not lined up like in a hospital.

Harbor Chase is a assisted living facility in Tallahassee Florida at the intersection of John Knox Road, and North Meridian Road. With the facility being near Interstate 10, it was convenient to locate for out of town visitors. The only tricky part of getting to the facility is having to make a u-turn on Meridian. My Grandmother was a resident of this assisted living facility for many years. It rarely had a bad smell, and the caretakers, (for the most part) were kind and caring. The yellow walls were a calm color, creating a nice atmosphere. Parking was ample, well lit, and nicely maintained. There is a keypad allowing secure 24-hour access to the facility. Mealtime was not pleasant in the memory care section. The back yard was a nice, well kept landscaped area to get fresh air or have a picnic. Sidewalks lined the entire facility for easy mobility among the grounds. Overall, I was quite satisfied with Harbor Chase.

We put my grandmother in Harbor Chase and have been more than happy with everything. I actually enjoy visiting her there better than her old house! People seem to be pretty nice, the campus is beautiful.
