I visited this facility

We visited this facility and I was surprised by the warmth and home like feeling I got. The facility is well kept and very clean. It’s quite modern but has a touch of elegance in it. I noticed that the staff seemed to be really involved with the residents and know them well. They seemed to keep their residents busy with activities. Their rooms were awesome. Their menus were like in the restaurant. Everything is just nice.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

First of all, we were approached by people who always had smiles on their faces, and that’s unusual. The residents at the Atria were all hanging out in the foyer area, which is another good sign. The residents there were also very chatty about how much they loved it. They had a little care package for us after we toured and left, which was a dessert. The chef there is just incredible and the food is of restaurant quality.

I love, love, love this community! The location is good, the staff are great, the options and amenities and opportunities and activities and such are even better. The quality of care is absolutely the type of care I would want my own loved ones receiving, it is patient, encouraging, nurturing, ethical, and so loving and respectful. The residents feel special because the staff go out of their way every single day to show them that they are so special and that they are an important part of the community and family. I have spent a lot of time observing the residents and the staff and I am always so impressed by how well the staff members know each resident - they know them the way best friends or family members know each other. They know specific things about each resident and I am always shocked and impressed by some of the details they know about the residents. I really like watching new staff members shadow the veteran staff, I always hear the experienced staff members tell the new staff members things that the residents like or don't, about what makes a certain resident laugh or what about a residents favorite book or favorite kind of music, or tell them how a certain fabric gives a resident a rash or about how one resident will only take medication with apple juice, etc. They know these things because they take the time to get to know everything there is to know about the residents in order to be better able to care for them and to be able to build a solid and trusting foundation with each resident. I really admire and respect the relationships the staff members have created with each resident. I know that the residents feel very comfortable with the staff members - I can see that they feel content going to them for help and advice.

The community is gorgeous - I love the architecture, the way it is designed and furnished is very modern, yet classy. The staff members and residents really take excellent care of the facility, they have a lot of pride in their community and love showing it off.
