Family-owned since 2001, Marymount Greenhills Retirement Center sits in a scenic structure originally built in 1986. Never converted, our facility was created with the intention of being and remaining an oasis for mature folks to enjoy in their final years.

"Did we go the wrong way?" say some visitors upon arriving to the facility. "I feel as if I'm at a Latin resort, not a retirement community." It's true. The approach to our Spanish-styled cluster of buildings has that vacation feel. With 162 apartments, residents have the option of seven different types of dwellings. A couple even have full kitchens with an oven and stove. The overall facility is handsomely furnished, with high ceilings and tall windows.

"I get to be part of something meaningful", says Marketing Director, Wesley Padilla. Mr. Padilla's love for his occupation is realized through his opportunity to work with the elderly during a big step in their lives. Greenhills' mission: ". . . to promote resident autonomy and preserve independence, privacy and dignity. We strive to provide the highest quality of service and care while never forgetting that each resident is unique-with individual preferences and changing needs."

Part of Greenhills' success is due to meticulously designed service plans, customized for individuals with differing stages of needs. Our organization's years of experience resulted in the creation of five levels of care. Individual plans are regularly reviewed by management with the families' involvement, when desired.

I visited this facility

I visited Marymount and thought that it was a good possibility where my mom could stay. The person who took me around was very nice to me. The place was clean and I didn't notice any unpleasant smells. Their menu looked good. They had pleasant rooms. I would recommend this facility.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My mother Dolores has been here for over 5 years now. This is our third place because my siblings and I were so worried about mom being safe in the other two facilities. The service and care at Marymount Greenhills are excellent. When I go on vacations I do not have to worry at all. The LVNs in the med room keep me updated with her care and her medications. I just wish this was the first facility that my family and I had placed her.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Prior to living here, I have had no experience with Assisted Living Facilities. I have lived here at Marymount Greenhills Retirement Community for about 16 months now and I am very disapointed with this place. The overall morale of the AL staff, Kitchen Staff, and Housekeeping Staff is very low. The turn over rate for the AL (Care givers) staff is extremely high. The ratio of Care Givers to Residents is approx 1:25 during the Day Shift (7AM to3:30PM) and the swung shift (3:30 to 11:00PM. For the Night Shift (11:00PMto 7:30AM) the ratio is approx 1:45. As you probably already know, for a care giver to help bathe, assist a resident in dressing and undressing, and helping with other needs that a resident might have does take time to perform. Common sense will tell you that it is next to impossible to give the Residents the proper care they deserve (and pay for) if the care giver is responsible for 25 people on his/her shift. The AL staff is constantly shorthanded and overworked. I am capable of listening to the radio communication for the employuees here at Marymount Greenhills. This is how I know quite a bit about what is really going on here. Currently, I amj looking for a new place to live . I would NOT reccommend this place to anyone.
