Mountain Valley Manor

I have only visited this facility once, but I can see that the residents living there are so very happy and comfortable. They seem so at ease and able to really express themselves and their opinions and ideas and individuality within their home. They seem really comfortable and trusting of the staff members and one resident told me during my visit that it is very easy to go to the staff members for anything. She said that the staff makes every one of the residents feel important and special and loved, that they are so patient and encouraging. She said that the staff members are always trying to get the residents to express themselves and their feelings. She said that the staff tell them all the time to not be afraid of speaking up and saying how they feel about any situation, change, decision, etc. I think it's because the staff are always working with the residents and motivating them to be assertive and speak their minds, that the residents seem to be such an open and honest bunch of people. They aren't afraid to say how they feel because they KNOW that no matter what they will be respected, accepted, and loved all the same.

The residents are really able to live the lifestyles of their choice, the facility offers the residents many activities, programs, and opportunities to keep them active and that stimulate their mind, body, and spirit as well as offer them so many wonderful and very impressive amenities and services that allow them to live very opportunistic and convenient lifestyles. They offer on-site medical services and lab work on a weekly basis, which is AWESOME! They community has it's own physicians for the residents to use as well as a well-stocked exam room for the residents doctor visits - not very many communities offer on-site physician services, so this is definitely a feature that makes this facility stand out. Every resident has their own mailbox, they offer very personalized care plans according to each residents own preferences and desires, there is a barber shop and salon services, and they also have SO many more amenities for the residents to take advantage of, you really should visit the community to see everything that is available to make your loved one's lives as happy and comfortable as possible.

The community is beautiful - inside and out - there are SO many areas a resident can use to relax, socialize, and spend time with friends and families. There are so many things for them to do inside the facility and outdoors. I believe wholeheartedly that the residents truly enjoy their lives here and I cannot wait to learn more about this community, I really look forward to my next visit.

Mountain Valley Manor is the perfect home for my mother-in-law who is 93 years old. The facility is bright, cheery, and well laid out. The caregivers are kind and careful and give her the extra help she needs. The food is excellent. I appreciate the policy of allowing family members and friends to join a resident for a meal on 1 day notice. A very homelike atmosphere here with the owner/operators on site. My MIL is very content and safe here!
