My father is 93 and lost his wife of 72 years just 6 months ago. He needed memory care and a place that felt more like home than his assisted living apartment. Sonoma House provides a limited number of bedrooms built around an open kitchen, living, and dining area. All of his care givers are specially trained in memory care and have done a wonderful job of helping us with this transition. I visit almost daily and come away feeling that he is safe and well cared for.

Sonoma House Assisted Living was lovely and welcoming. The room I saw was nice but small. The person who assisted me was very nice, very professional, and very knowledgeable. It seemed nice but it's a small community because of the way it's designed. I just think that my mother needed something with a bigger group. This place has more advanced memory care so if my mother starts to digress, that may be where she goes. I liked it and it was very nice but I just don't think that's what she needs right now, and she didn't either.

My mother moved into Sonoma House Assisted Living. So far we love it, we're very happy. The staff has been very flexible, easy to reach, they've been wonderful about communicating with us about what's been going on with my mom, and whatever needs she has. They've been doing everything they can to help her acclimate to her new room, so they've just been absolutely wonderful. I spoke to my mom yesterday, and she loves the food. She's eating, which I'm very happy about. She wasn't eating before. She says it's really good, she loves the snacks, and she's enjoying everything. I toured the facility, I've been in the model room area, and we're very happy with the layout and the space.

We looked at Sonoma House Assisted Living. I really liked the property, but they couldn't cater to my mother's medical needs, so we couldn't use them. We didn't feel like the facility was right for her, but they were really good. They could do everything. Their apartments were really nice. The facility was small, but it was set up so a person with memory issues wouldn't get confused and they would be in a safe facility that would be easy to maneuver. The rooms were small, but they had a large area for socializing, dining and things that people would like, rather than being in their rooms all the time. I saw their garden area, social area where they would do activities, and their activity plans. I was pleased with the staff that I met, and the rooms were very clean and well-kept.

Sonoma House is a very nice, modern, updated and new facility. My mom is in the Alzheimer's care facility there. The staff is very friendly, helpful and nice. My mom liked the food. They do activities all day long like coloring, bowling, games and reading. I haven't had any issues and so far everything is good.

We saw Sonoma House. The place is wonderful. It is a very nice yet smaller community. They have lots of activities. There's probably more attention too. The staff is very good; however, it is not all in one building. They have different houses. They try to group people by their needs. The house is big and one floor, but it wasn't the right feel for us. My sister would have been in a house with eight or nine people, but we needed her to have a bigger population.

My mother is a long term resident here. At first we thought it was the greatest place for her, but now we are considering a change. Why, well constant turnover of staff; housekeeping of resident rooms is terrible; the staff have no consideration for the proper care and cleaning of my mother's clothes; and, there is a so-what attitude when complaints are made.

Sonoma House's setup was interesting. They were setup with different houses, and they were actually physically different buildings for different stages. The staff was really good, and I met with the director; he was really good and helpful. Everybody seemed great, and the grounds were very nice. It was also convenient to my home, and I was very impressed with it. The dining room was nice and each house had its own dining room and chef. I would highly recommend it.

I have a family friend that lives at Sonoma House and I've visited there often. The caregivers are always friendly and helpful, and seem to truly care for the residents. If my grandmother lived in town this is were I would want her to be.

We decided to have my dad assessed at the Sonoma House, which was fairly close to where we lived. It looked good. They seemed to be very friendly. The main thing that we were looking for was a smaller caregiver-resident ratio. Since there were only 16 residents maximum that could live in any of the Sonoma Houses and they had 2 caregivers on staff around the clock, he would be able to have assistance much more readily and quickly that in the facility that he was living in with nearly 200 residents. The one downside on the Sonoma house was that he currently had 2 rooms, and he would have to reduce down to a one room, so he would not be able to take everything that he had because it wouldn't fit. However, we were hoping that because of the way it was set up, he would not need some of the extra stuff that he had in his 2 rooms. The dining room set up was centrally located in the middle of the house. There were 8 bedrooms on one side and 8 bedrooms on the other side. The residents don't have to walk very far to go to where they eat. My dad was deaf and nearly blind, but he was interested in whatever activities they might have. From what I saw and from what I heard, it seemed like a good facility.
