Clark Meadows at Ferris Hills is an outstanding facility! The apartments are beautiful and the grounds are gorgeous. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting than Canandaigua. The amenities are top notch and the staff are very caring. It is nice to know that there is 24 hour care available if needed. That really provides my Grandfather with a sense of security. Clark Meadows really allows it's residence to age with dignity which in my opinion is the most important aspect of an assisted living facility. There are a variety of daily activities for my Grandfather to enjoy. Boredom is definitely not a problem. He has also had the opportunity to make many new friends, it's such a great community. We have visited many other assisted living community in the area during our search but Clark Meadows stood out from all of the rest. It almost has the feeling of being on vacation in a resort hotel. I am truly happy that my family made Clark Meadows the choice for my Grandfather's new home.

Over the time I have been visiting this community I have met many happy residents and families. They all seem to really enjoy life here and that is a win in my book. The residents really do have a lot fun around here, there seems to always be something going on whether it's facility-ran or resident-ran, what I mean by this is the residents have scheduled activities, special events, and entertainment that is created and implemented in to the daily routine by the activity staff BUT there are also many activities that the residents themselves recruit for such as resident card games, board games, movies, special interest clubs such as book or gardening or quilting clubs, and much more. The residents really appear to enjoy being active, but they REALLY enjoy doing things together as a group. For a bunch of individuals who came together in the later years of their lives, they get along fantastically - watching them together, you'd think they were all life-long friends. They are very supportive and loving of one another and they really look out for each other - what I really like is the residents families also bond with other residents which really makes the community that much closer. Sometimes I will see families sitting with and talking to residents only to realize that those families belong to other residents, or I will see two or more sets of families and residents enjoying each others company- that I love to see - when the families also become close and bond with one another it is really something special. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does it is something to keep at the fore front of your mind because of the families themselves are bonding that says SO, SO, SO many wonderful things about the community. The families are also very involved in the events and happenings around the community and they eat there often. I have heard them compliment the food SO many times, residents too. While I have never personally eaten any of the meals, I have been there during mealtimes and the food always looks and smells wonderful. It's funny because when everyone first gets their meals, you hear more eating than socializing but after they are through eating and are still in the dining room the roar of conversation becomes louder and louder - so that tells me when food is in front of them that they would rather eat than talk and THAT speaks volumes about the food!

Clark Meadows at Ferris Hills is a community that I highly recommend visiting, you will be very pleased with all that they have to offer the residents and their families.

This is a beautiful and home-like place with friendly, caring staff. The residents seemed happy and well cared for. I had lunch there and the food was excellent. There are many amenities such as a beauty shop, library and activities room and there seemed to be a lot for the residents to do.
