I have experience with Shorrock Gardens with two family members. The facility was decent enough to trust with a second relative's care after the first family member lived there for three years until her passing. The facility itself appears well-kept and home-like. There are comfortable sitting areas to meet with family members, including a lovely semi-private room that is sun-filled and contains a large bird cage. The Love Birds were a blessed distraction for my children when they were younger. They also have a private room that can be used for parties, which we also made use of when it became to hard to take our elderly relative from the nursing facility due to fraility. Both relatives were quite happy with the staff. They felt as though they were genuine in their concern for the residents well-being. The only complaint that I have is the hit-or-miss quality of the food. At times, the food was quite good, but there were occasions when my family member was served watery oatmeal and lukewarm coffee. Other than that, I would recommend Shorrock Gardens.
