At Sunrise Senior Living's Christmas Party, when I volunteered for a military function I found the perfect place to retire. We were all dressed up in our Class A's and spent an evening chatting, eating dinner, and then dancing with the people who lived there and their families. The music was from the 20's to 50's mostly, and the DJ played some crowd favorites like conga line. The furniture, like the staff was genuine and the decorations were professionally done. There were singles, and couples.

I was impressed that some people really have a strong enough bond to have lasted all those years and that they were still enjoying life together. I want that to go to holiday parties with my beloved husband when I'm older. We'll have some chicken cordon bleu, dessert, wine, and dancing. We'll share a room and furnish it with our things, and let someone else cook the meals.
