I visited this facility

I stopped by to see their facility. The hours on the door said 7:30a - 5:30p, but at 7:40am no one was there. There was a big chain and lock on the door. Tacky. I went back home and returned at 9:20am. The place had a musky smell and the office was junky with papers all over the desk, bookcases overflowing with assorted papers and lots of STUFF everywhere. Untethered wires were hanging in a clump out of the ceiling near the corner of the room behind the desk.

Fire hazard?

The lady behind the desk couldn't find a card or give me their rates--said the manager will be back in a little bit. I asked for a tour but she said she could not do that either. I glanced around and did not understand why, since they appeared to have just one large open room with some tables, a TV and a few bored, sad looking people. Almost no one was there-I can see why. But, at her urging, I left and decided to give the administrator a hour.

I called back at 10:10am. A man answered and said they are open from 8am-2:30pm. I asked their rates but he just said call back in an hour when someone would be back. I asked for a ball-park guess. He said, " what does it matter?" that they accept insurance for the payments. I said we don't need insurance. He said, then call back in an hour.

I called back at 11:55am and got a generic "Hello, please leave a message after the tone" voice mail.

I only give this place a 1 star because there is nothing lower. I hope someone informs whatever insurance companies they are sucking money from--or the Harris County council on ageing--or even the city's health department-- so this place can be investigated.

I wouldn't leave my dog with these people.
