In Brooklyn, assisted living prices have increased by 9.6% in the past year, and they're expected to increase by another 7.7% in 2024. A portion of this 18% surge can be attributed to inflation. Statewide, consumers are expected to see a comparable increase that's likely to push monthly rates from $4,070 to $4,802 in just 3 years. Fortunately, Brooklyn has more affordable rates than some neighboring communities. In West Babylon, prices are likely to rise by almost $1,000 a month. Seniors in Kew Gardens and Yonkers can expect to pay more than $4,900 per month.
