Wife was receiving SSI and I was her fulltime caregiver. She recently passed away and wasn't even qualified for the lousy 255 burial. Since she was struck down by MS at a early age, wasn't able to work, I am not eligible for survivor benefits. I am 60 and stuck between a rock and a very hard wall!

I'm not sure how to ask questions on this site....
My dad has $10,000 in his bank account and wants to apply for SSI. Can he transfer the money to his son this month and apply next month, or is there a look back period which he isn't allowed to transfer money for a few months?

I am at a loss as to what to do. I have had to give up so much for SSI, lifestyle, marriage. Now as of lately my challenge is too much. My medicaid provider is continually declining medications that are needed. I am getting to where I will not be able to function on my own.. My pain medication that was allowing me to do things is taken away, per CDC guidelines. and also I have osteoporosis with the bones of a 90 year old, and I cannot get treatment. the rheumatologist filled out all the appropriate paperwork but it was declined. Soon I will not be able to go to thelaundromat, the store, clean house. I am devastated. If there is no cure offered for these problems then why do they take away all hope? Clearly eugenics is all I see,, I have been culled from the bunch and just left to die.

I have a child that is now 24 she lives with me. I just helped her apply for ssI, she is mentally challanged. when they added up all my bills they divided them by 3 because there are 3 adults in the house. then they said because her third would be higher then what she willl get the 733.00 they consider me taking care of her and lowered it to 488.00 how crazy is this. does any one know how close do I need to be to this 733.00 without going over that they will give her the whole thing. Like will 655.00 be good as a third of the bills
