Mom had a huge room over looking the yard and gazebo. Staff was always friendly. Barb kept us informed. We always stopped in without warning. She was treated like a human being. Mom had dementia, was on 2nd floor (stairway always locked) and was free to move around to play the piano, visit the TV/activity room, library, and hair salon. Inside looks like a large house which she thought was hers with a cafe (dining room) where she could eat and visit other tenants. They had a Christmas get together for family and friends. She was mad at me for inviting all those strangers...she was okay when Santa gave her a hug and the music started though.

We went to Faith Living Center and they didn't know we were coming. They were super disorganized and the staff apologized a thousand times for being so scattered. It was a depressing place, but it's affordable. It's dark, colder than other places, and it's not very bright inside, but the staff member was very sweet. They had some community areas, but I wasn't impressed. The place was super small too. They had a Christmas tree up when we were there, so they were trying. It just needed a paint job and remodeling of some sort to brighten it up a little bit.

Faith Gardens does a great job with my dad, he's always out of his room with other residents when I stop to visit, he is usually in a good mood and his room appears to be clean and taken care of. It is a big relief to know he's taken care of and I can actually spend time visiting with him rather than taking care of all his needs and his home.
