I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This place lies alot they only tell u what u want to hear. They r always low on staff and they don't help. They only have a couple people who really care others don't. And they don't listen to what u asked them to do. Mom past away there by them given morphine with our family authorized it. I had to hire someone to feed my mom cause they wouldn't even feed her. Always said the person said no so they would stop feeding. This place is really bad my family had meeting with them and they say they will do there best to improve. Only last two day. The management doesn't know who coming or going. One nurse told me my parent would die in 7 days . They gave her morphine and die in 3 days. Even there employers that I knew told me this would happen cause they need the room. I would not put my family member there ever. Like I said they are so short off help it kills me to see all these people in there not been taking care off.. I give the place minus 10.

Rooms are very outdated. Furniture is old. Staff is medicre, sometimes rude, and not helpful. No consistency, and very little followup. Internet for residents is awful. Residents do not get proper grooming help. Food is often cold.

While the conditions were not that terrible, they are completely understaffed causing people like my mother who was there this past June and July terrible inconvenience. My mother had fallen a couple of times and had been left on the floor. Most of the staff was very rude to her. All they cared about was getting their money. Nevermind that the care was inadequate. or they were just looking to kick my mother out when she clearly was not capabale of being on her own. I would npt recommend this place. They are supposed to be christian based.

I am a friend or relative of resident

I wish I had thought of checking for reviews before bringing my husband here. We did a tour and it "appeared" to be a nice facility. After being here just 4 days, we have totally changed our minds. My husband had a total knee replacement & is supposed to have his pain medication 45-60 min. before physical therapy. Their excuse for not getting it to him until the time of his therapy is that they're not sure when he will be having therapy. Have they no schedule or charts??? The technology is out of the 90s. The TVs and beds are ancient, and the internet is extremely slow. The bed actually cranks up and down. The furniture is in very poor condition, and the rooms have no amenities. The ice packs are shared by all the patients. The 3rd floor is not being kept clean at all, and their excuse is construction on an upper floor. That doesn't explain all the dirt in the halls for 3 days, nor does it explain the dirt on the window sills, and on the TV. The dining room is not nearly big enough for all the patients. The physical therapist seems good, but I'm not sure, because my husband doesn't seem to be progressing as he should, but that could be because of the pain med issue. I could go on and on. Finally, don't bring a loved one here.

Nurses are chatty, I have seen very little care given on the second floor. This is heartbreaking for my friend.

I am a friend or relative of resident

This place on the 2nd floor is really sad, people sit around the table and dont eat because nurses do not care, 2nd shift sits and talkes as people lay in bed and scream for help. been here a few times to visit my Dad and finally got his out of here when he told me the nurses are mean and the therapy was not as good as the hospital, they talked AT him and not too him treated him like he was 12.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was at the "Terrace" for a week for sub-acute care. The Physical therapy which I was supposed to have to strengthen me was just about nonexistent. They walked me to the dining room once a day. There were no exercises or other walking. I needed to build up endurance which they did not help me do.The occupational therapy was also very bad..they focus just on dressing when what I needed was exercise for my arms and shoulder to loosen them up. I didn't have a problem bathing and dressingI also had money and a bottle of pills (Viocodin) taken from my purse. This was a CATHOLIC nursing home.Call lights would go unanswered for up to a half hour which is totally uncalled for. One night I went to my room after dinner at 5:15PM and no one opened my door until 10:30PM.again uncalled for I should have been checked on every hour or so.what if I was on the floor and unable to get the call light.I will complement the RN Angie, LPN Lisa, and the 2 CNAs July and Stacy_.they were all wonderful.I would NEVER recommend The Terrace at St Frances to anyone.

I visited this facility

The Terrace at St Francis is part of a medical system in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I had toured it at one time. It a well kept building with studio and one bedroom apartment. The staff includes nurses and aides. A Chaplin is also available for Sunday mass for the residents. The resident enjoys their meals in a central dining room located of each of the 3 floors. When I toured was between meals, but there was a pot of coffee brewing and the residents were free to enjoy it when every it like. It also had a small general store for small items like tooth paste, denture cream and shaving cream. Each apartment had a kitchenette where the resident if able could prepare a bowl of cereal or pot of coffee. The staff provided all the medications and assisted with dressing and bathing the residents as needed. The residents that I encountered on the tour seems happy and content. I would say The Terrace seemed to be a pleasant comfortable place to live if you need assistance in your later years.
