If I could give the nursing/ rehab portion a zero, I would. This place is understaffed. Call buttons are not responded to, on two occasions my family member received the wrong medication and had a severe decrease in blood pressure sending him to the emergency room. Medication was also over prescribed which increased eight times from a hospital stay. Also sending him to the emergency room for severe issues! Do not send anyone here- they have more excuses for every issue! The administration will not return phone calls or meet with you in person. It is all about the money at this facility!

Oak Park Place Madison was a pretty place, but I think the apartment they showed us was smaller than what we needed, and it was not in the right location. It's very clean. The staff that gave the tour was very accommodating and a nice lady. The dining area was very big. The menu looked very nice. They had all kinds of activities. There's a big calendar full of them, and every day was something different. They had bingo and a lot of social gatherings. I think they paid for your drinks during a happy hour and the little wine and cheese and meat trays.

My husband was at Oak Park Place-Madison East Grandview. The staff was very well-educated and very compassionate. The OT, PT, and speech department were just spot on. He stayed there for one month. I would come up and have dinner with him every night. I never tried the food, although I tasted one of the pumpkin things. It was a mechanical soft diet. The facility was very clean. It was a very clean space, and it had a lot of community spaces where you could go to. Like it had a pool billiards room, and it had a cafe. My husband went down once for a music program, and he got his hair cut there in the beauty shop. Otherwise, he was in PT, speech, and OT every day, so they kept him pretty busy and he was pretty tired by the time he went to bed at night.

My brother is at Oak Park Place Madison. He's been there for almost 30 days now, and he'll be released on Wednesday (day 30). Insurance and Medicare will be done at that point. There were some problems early on. His room flooded from a different bathroom in someone else's room so they had to move him. When they moved him to a different room, he couldn't get to his call button because it was behind the dresser, and they didn't bring a bariatric mattress. There were recreational activities that were scheduled but were canceled, and no one said it was canceled. The therapy department seemed pretty good, but they were pushing to get him out when he could only walk about 50 feet, so his wife had to make calls. The therapist indicated it was because of the insurance, so when we contacted insurance, that was not the case at all. They said it's all based on what the therapist writes and the therapist insisted all they had to do was get him to baseline (like what he was doing before he went into the hospital). At that point, they're gonna discharge him when all he could do was walk 50 feet but couldn't do a step. He needs to do two steps to get into his house and they just kept insisting that was his responsibility to take care of it, which we did. I think it was OK, but from a rehab standpoint, a person going there needs to have family who's gonna be keeping track of what's going on and advocating for the best interest of their family member because that's what we had to do. Since then, it's been better. I've seen the food and my brother has been very satisfied. The activity person did bring him some crosswords and stuff. There were activities, they just didn't happen with fidelity. If someone was there and didn't have family advocating for them or someone didn't have the cognitive wherewithal to make calls on their own to insurance and stuff, they would be sent home away before they were ready. At least, that was our experience.

Oak Park Place Madison looked very nice. We liked that there were actually people down in the common areas. The facility itself and the apartment they showed me were very nice. The independent living is associated with the assisted living and the nursing home there, which is a good stepping block. The buildings are kind of attached. They have a pool, bingo, craft things, and happy hour once a week. My mother-in-law was there in the assisted living area this year. There has been some staff turnover, but it wasn't really their fault as everybody's having staff shortages.

Oak Park Place Madison seemed really well-organized and had a really nice environment. The staff was very engaging. They have a little place for happy hour, a little bar area, turnaround rooms, a library, a game room, and a dining room. The facility was very clean.

Our tour at Oak Park Place Madison's independent living was very nice and very informative. It's a lovely place with a lot of services. The person who gave the tour was very personable, very nice and willing to answer all my questions. We saw three of the rooms, they were very nice and looked well cared for. We only looked at two bedrooms. They had a smaller 2-bedroom, a medium 2-bedroom, and then they had a 2-bedroom with a den. Their dining area was very well appointed. They had a small exercise room, there was a yoga class going on and they told me is that there was a swimming pool in another building. On each floor there was a communal place where you could go, we saw people putting puzzles together in that area. It looks like they have activities, cards, and different things that you enjoy. The staff who assisted us was very good.

We went to Oak Park Place. It was very nice. It was laid out very nice for their memory care units. Unfortunately, they denied to take my husband in for care. It was very nicely built. The areas were very nice. They have an activity room. Unfortunately, I did not see any activities going on at the time. They had staff on duty all the time. The units were very nice. They had areas set up for family visits. The staff was very informative. They had a fenced-in outdoor area, seating area, garden area for the people to go outside and be able to sit. It looked very well-secured so they wouldn't wander off.

I was able to tour Oak Park Place Madison for my mother, and it was good. I liked it. The apartment buildings are standard like any other, but they were spacious; they did have some space. It's not a brand-new facility, but it's not that old; it was nice. They have very good staff, and they were both helpful and friendly. They were eating and some were exercising. There were some activities, we didn't see more than that. They seemed happy.

At Oak Park Place, everybody's friendly. The halls are very light, they have plenty of light on them. They have the person's name on the outside of the door, which I think is a good idea. If you're looking for a walk-in shower, they have them, and I was just very impressed with the place. They serve the meals in the dining room, they have snacks, and coffee, and water available.

I think that Oak Park Place Madison is very good. The staff is very kind and helpful. Mom is learning and meeting friends there; she likes it very much and she's really happy there. The place is very nice, and her room is especially nice (it's bright and sunny). They have activities and so forth. In terms of the price, everything is high right now, but it's a good value for the money.

Oak Park Place Madison was quite a very nice facility, but the menu was not what I would be comfortable with. Also, the big problem there was that it was very close to an interstate highway and with the window open, or even if you go outside, the noise level was phenomenal. The facility was nice and the people were pleasant. The location was just impossible for us. They also didn't have quite the range of activities that we found in other places. The staff member who gave us the tour was quite good. The place was also quite new.

Our experience with Oak Park has been good so far, and it has everything my parents need. We chose them because of their step-up care, so my parents can still be on one campus even if they're in different care levels. Their meals are provided and they have daily things they can do there. The pool is nice and the apartment is small but still nice.

Please, if you care about your loved ones, do not send them to this place. They are understaffed constantly, and there is always an influenza or stomach flu outbreak. The management cares more about the physical appearance of the lobby than the residents.

We have chosen Oak Park Place. This is for my sister. One thing she likes is that we had dinner with several of the residents. My sister was able to talk to the residents and find out how they felt about it. One of the residents showed us her room, and it seemed like a very nice place. There are places you can walk through from there.

At Oak Park Place, there were nice open rooms. It was very well cared for and very well maintained. They had all types of activities. They had music, physical activities, and I think they bring them out. They had multiple dining areas, and they were very, very attractive, and very well appointed. They had options for meals. The staff was extremely friendly and very interested. They were able to handle somebody who needed a little bit more assistance than an average assisted living person, so that flexibility was important. Oak Park Place is out a little bit farther from the city, so I don't see any issues with security.

My husband moved to Oak Park Place two months ago. He thinks it's wonderful there; he enjoys it and he thinks the food is good. He said the food is always too much. When I was there it was always nice, clean, and quiet. The only negative thing is it's very hard to park there when visiting someone. It's not as new, but he likes it very much and his room is exceptionally large. It has a walk-in closet, a living room, and a bedroom.

Oak Park Place was absolutely gorgeous. It was huge community. During my visit there, I had a little tour. They had several different things going on there. They had a rehab, nursing, Alzheimer's and they also had senior apartments and assisted living, which I was looking for. They were right next to each other. It was a brand new development. They had a fabulous view with the lakes and everything. They were up on the hill and they could see the City of Madison. The people there were wonderful. They seemed to be active and moving around. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. I thought it was a really big thing that you could go to the assisted living and rent an apartment then you could go to Alzheimer's unit and stay in the same community.

This is a beautiful facility. My mother has been at Oak Park Place for over 2 years. Her quality of life is so much improved - she goes on outings, sings in the choir, is a volunteer helping others, attends exercise daily, plays bridge 2 times per week. All of these things were no longer possible in her own home. I have actually seen an improvement in my mother's mood since she has been at Oak Park Place. The management and the direct line staff really do care - it is a big family. I would highly recommend Oak Park Place.

The staff were so friendly and kind as we toured. They were so willing to answer questions, and gave us excellent information about activities that my Grandfather could get involved in while he stayed. He liked how the apartments were situated with bright windows, and he commented on how there was plenty of space for all of his things to fit comfortably! We did have an opportunity to talk with a couple of current residents, and they were very happy with their lives at Oak Park.
