What ongoing training does the staff receive in dementia care?
We are currently undergoing Essentia Training. All staff members will need this certification to work in our Community.
Describe the overall population of assisted living residents at Robin’s Landing of Brookfield. What is their average age? What are their favorite things to do?
We believe that age is all in the heart, and we don't emphasize on a number, unless it's one of our Residents Birthdays! Some of our Residents favorite things to do is participating in our many activities that are planned throughout the month by our Activities Director Ebonee; like attending our Fall Carnival Festival, Baking Cookies, painting, oragomi, bingo, puzzles, outdoor leisure fun in the sun, and so much more!
What programs or activities does Robin’s Landing of Brookfield offer to enrich residents' well-being?
The everyday Enrichment and Quality of Life is our goal every single day. We have our Act Director whom works really hard to get them excited and participating in each activity, and not only participating, but interaction within their own community with our Staff and their fellow friends and neighbors! We are currently undergoing getting a sensory room set up for our Memory Care Community, working on Living Life Books for each Resident, starting from the day they were born and huge life changing events that we can document for them to look at each and every day, just to remind them of everything they have done.

In the Brookfield area there are many options from the Brookfield Square, Restaurants, Target, Walmart, Woodman, Walgreens, Sendicks, etc.
What transportation services does Robin’s Landing of Brookfield offer to assisted living residents?
We will help set up rides for our Residents if need be. There is also Uber, Lyft, and the city bus.
What makes the chef or dining program at Robin’s Landing of Brookfield exceptional? What kind of menu can assisted living residents expect?
Our Nutritionist focuses on balanced meals for all residents, healthy snack, and even specialized meal prep for certain health issues or issues pertaining to Memory Cafe. Please call to find out if this is something you need to discuss for your family member.

We take our Residents Safety as our Top Priority; that means good care to residents ratio, and with that comes locked entrances and exists that are controlled only by our certified staff members.
How does Robin’s Landing of Brookfield keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?
Our phones are available 24 hours a day incase of emergency. Each resident is allowed to have a phone in their room to speak to family at any time, as well as our Residents contact information available to our caregivers 24 hours to get intouch with a Residents emergency contact if needed.
What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?
All staff members are CBRF Certified, some are LPN's, and we are all currently taking our certification in Essentia Training, so we can give the best care to our Memory Care Community as well.
How many staffers are on duty in the daytime and overnight?
24 hour Nursing Staff, CNA's and CBRF Certified Staff.
What safety features or security measures does Robin’s Landing of Brookfield provide to protect residents who wander?
We take Elopement very seriously, along with that comes our locked entrances and exists that all staff have a code to let people in and out of our Community, along with good Staff to Resident Ratio, and other Security scheduled routines that we implement to make sure all residents are safe.
What programs or activities does Robin’s Landing of Brookfield offer to keep residents engaged? How does the staff engage residents' long-term memories?
We have monthly routine Activities. Routines of any kind are helpful for those with any type of Dementia. We are currently undergoing a "snowzelen room" or better known as a sensory room to help long term memory care residents stay stimulated for brain activity and sensory stimulus, as well as calming sensory technique, such as aromatherapy, color themed techniques for eating time, and calming colors for relaxation and rejuvenation. We also are working on our Life Living Books. These are books that each Resident will put together with a Staff member when they move in to help them remember all their huge life events and wonderful lives they have had, and will continue to have. We share this book 2 to 3 times a day with our Residents in hopes to remind them right away when they wake, just who they are!
Who assesses residents' health and cognitive functioning? How often is that assessment repeated?
We have our Wellness Director of Nursing who does the assessments of our Residents for move-ins along with the help of their Private Care Provider, Hospital Staff, Social Workers, etc. We repeat this assessment based on the need of our Residents and their individual Lifestyle Plan.
What techniques does Robin’s Landing of Brookfield use to support memory care residents during mealtimes?
We are embracing the color change stimulus for our Memory Care Community . There is proven scientific data that the color Red, Orange, and Yellow cause a stimuli in the brain that makes them remember its not only meal time, but also proven to get them to eat more at any given meal time.
