I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The community itself is homey and clean. The new Clinical Director is arrogant and has no knowledge of what it takes to care for the older population. The Executive Director is uncaring and takes no responsibility for actions of her employees. She rarely interacted with my mother.. The Human Resources Director was recently terminated to make room for the Executive Directors best friend. How very sad . The nurses are very good. I hear that when the recent Director of Nurses left , the care suffered greatly. I would not place my mother back in that community.

I visited this facility

I toured The Village At Riverview for my mom. It was cheaper and everything was included, including TV and a phone. The people they were nice. I liked the cheapness and that everything was all together. The staff were very friendly, they worked well with the residents, and were very helpful. They have different programs that my mother can participate in. It's very clean and very well-maintained.

I visited this facility

I visited a friend at The Village at Riverview. I'd say it's well staffed. They have good nurses, and they seem to be pretty good. They had activities for everybody at all levels. It would just be outings, and they would take them shopping and that kind of stuff. They have a salon, and they have a covered outdoor patio. The place was clean, and it was homey. They have individual apartment type style living. They have a big gathering area with TVs that was like a common area, and that was pretty nice. I really can't say a whole lot about their food other than the fact that the lady that I visited didn't complain about it. She thought it was pretty good. I've seen their holiday meals, and they seem to be above par and home cooked.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom is in a community called The Village at Riverview. The appearance is wonderful. It is a beautiful and very clean place. They don't have any bad smells. The food is not something to rave about, but most of it is edible. The staff members are extremely slow, but they have a lot to do. They do laundry, showers, and they're helping other residents, but sometimes it takes a long time for them to respond to my mom's call. Other than that, they're very friendly and kind. The Village at Riverview is a good place to be, but my mom is upset about the COVID. It has really affected a lot of people there. They have exercise class every day during the week, they have bingo, they have crafts, they have sing-a-longs, they have movies, and snacks are provided for them. They have an activities director who takes them on field trips, but obviously this isn't going on. They'll go out to eat or they go to Walmart. The activities director is very upbeat, kind, and considerate with all of them. She does a very good job. She has been very creative with them since this has come out. She is really good with them.

The Village at Riverview is always clean and inviting. The employees treat residents and their families with respect and kindness. I am certainly glad my mother is there. They encourage visitors and treat all as family. There are many activities and special events for the residents to enjoy.

I visited this facility

I visited Riverview with a friend whose mother is a resident and thought of it also as a possible place to put my father. As we were visiting with the friend's mother, l noticed many residents who were out of place in a sense. One in a wheelchair scooting into rooms, and other people. I encountered one resident asking me how she could get out and was redirect by an aide to go to her room. I felt uncomfortable watching these poor people and the staff trying their best to keep certain residents from bothering or following other visitors. I didn't realize that certain residents as these were housed in an assisted living facility. The resident we were visiting had her own issues with these problems and is considering another facility due to these issues and many others. I have since decided not to consider placing my father in this facility. Me personally, l do not recommend the Village at Riverview because it just doesn't seem to be all that one would expect. It's rather more viewed upon as a skilled nursing home than an assisted living facility.

THE BEST ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY in the area! I have a loved one there and the care and concern she receives is truly exceptional. The place always smells nice, is clean and sanitary and all of the residents seem happy and satisfied. I see nothing to complain about, at all. My loved one is there for dementia and she often says she wants to go home, but also is not yet quire ready to leave this nice place. Kudos!

The Village of Riverview is one of the nicest around. It is brand new; it will be only a year old in October. My mom is in their assisted living. Her room is very nice, very elegant. Of course, there is always room for improvement in the items, but it is very good. It could be a little better on the food and the care for people with dementia and stuff like that.

Village at Riverview is brand new, and it's going to be a year old in October. It's a very nice facility, it's close by my house and it offers a whole lot. The people we spoke with were nice. My loved one has been there for two months now, and so far, so good.
