Memory Care is specifically designed to meet the needs of those with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia. Specially trained staff members assist with activities of daily living (such as bathing and dressing) and provide therapies to slow further loss of cognitive abilities.

The Cottages are a unique Memory Care Community. There are 4 Cottages on the Campus, 1 is strictly administration-that way the residents do not have the hustle and bustle of the phones ringing, packages being delivered and outside stimuli disrupting their small homelike environment. The other 3 Cottages are where our Residents Live. Each Cottage can house up to 20 residents. All the Cottages connect to our Signature Courtyards, where residents can enjoy a walk outside in the walking loop or just enjoy the fresh air on our patio.
Our Staff are specifically trained in Dementia Care. We know that Dementia has somewhat of the same symptoms for people, but everyone experiences are unique and different. We want to know the resident's life story-who they were prior to the disease and how the disease has affected them. What brings them comfort? Who are the important people in their lives? These are answers we all want to know, so we can provide reassurance to the residents, that they are safe and they are loved. Just because they have Dementia, does not mean they are not important. They still have a purpose - dementia doesn’t stop that!!!
What makes the Cottages different, there are a few things, but one thing I can guarantee is not every Memory Care has a spend down to Medicaid. CarePartners Senior Living, Our Parent Company, has the largest floating Medicaid License in the state of Washington. That means, we do not just certify so many beds for Medicaid and we will NOT evict someone for switching to Medicaid after the spend-down requirements have been met. We generally offer a 2-year spend down to Medicaid.
If you have firsthand experience with a community or home care agency, share your review to help others searching for senior living and care.
