I visited this facility

My wife had breathing problems on a Sunday evening, the next day she was found dead, they did not really tend to her. The care that she was getting was not good enough, the staff barely came in the room to check on them, she never go the care that she needed, all she did was stay in her room

Nice facility and staff for long term care with the exception of the staff doctor. I requested Social Security to become my mother's Representative and submitted the paper work because she is under Hospice care and unable to see or sign SS forms . The staff doctor said she was able to manage her finances and business and would not approve the form. Social Security has notified me someone else will need to request this. We now have no way to complete Social Security forms to continue receiving income for her.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was so impressed with this facility and the nurses, aides, physical therapy team and all other staff members I connected with.. I felt so comfortable and cared for each and everyday. I know I did so amazing in my road to recovery because of them. I was saddened a bit upon discharge. Highly recommend this facility.

My wife was at Stafford at Ridgemont for a while after she fell and broke her pelvis. I really liked the people there, and it had nice and bright hallways. They did not have lock-down and don’t specialize in memory care. The staff was really nice, and the rooms were nice, big, and bright. The facility itself is fine, and they have a number of specialties but not the one that we need.

I had my father admitted to Ridgmont at the end of september for acute dehydration, failure to thrive, after being discharged from another facility with diarrhea that turned out to be Cdiff. But that is another review for that facility. The staff at Ridgmont were attentive, worked with me to problem solve, and were extremely kind to my father. The Staff in the TCU are outstanding, and Denise, the unit manager is truly a gem, along with Liisa, KIm,Tom, and all the other NUrses aides and Nurses that worked with my dad. The physical therapy department worked with my dad in a gentle, encouraging manner, always aware of his pain issues.Dr Sharman was always available when problems arose and treated my dads issues with thoughtful consideration, never rushing his visits with my dad, as i have seen with other providers. When dad did not eat his meals, the kitchen supervisor came and talked to my dad to see if there was a problem they could fix. My dad is now home and doing well due to the excellent nursing care the facility provided.

I didn't see many staff in Ridgemont Terrace and that is why I didn't choose this facility for my mom. They did not have an apartment with washer/dryer hooked up and that is what I needed for her. The facility is nice and older but it is not very spacious. I would not recommend this for independent seniors but I think it would be fine for assisted.

I am a past client of this provider

They were really good at Stafford. They took good care of my wife. They were really friendly to her. It's a little more modern than the nursing home my wife is at right now.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Mom has been in Stafford Healthcare since May of last year. She broke her leg and then they sent her to the hospital and brought her back. For two weeks, her knees was all swollen up, not healing right, and she has been complaining about pain. And I had to catch that when I was there when they were redressing the bandage. Turned out whoever did the emergency surgery botched it completely. And so she had to go back in again, they ripped everything out and have it completely rebuilt. The doctors themselves seem to be non-existent there. There was a time when she woke up in the morning and hard to breathe. She asked for a doctor, but no doctor came. So I called up the evening shift and talked to the nurse to check on her. Turned out she has a pulmonary embolism. So she ended up in a hospital again. They seem to be unresponsive to someone in pain or the call button. They come whenever they want. Mom was grimacing on the phone. The food is totally unappetizing. They serve pizza and hotdogs. And the medication seem a bit random. Nobody has any idea if the vitamins and supplements were prescribed by a doctor or they just handed over a bunch of pills or if the pills has contraindications. Somebody needs to be in charge so when you go complain about something they have to be able to do something about it. I would figure that they would catch a broken leg that wasn't healing right. But that's not the case.

I visited this facility

When I entered the facility it seemed to be a nice place. The staff was courteous, and they were very helpful, and seemed to be giving my grandmother a good experience. The place was a little noisy, but it was perfectly quiet in the room my grandma was in. I was a little surprised that my grandma had to share a room with another woman, but it was perfectly private with a curtain in between their sections. The room mate was a little rude, which made my grandma's experience less than perfect, but it wasn't that bad. There were no bad smells in the facility, and no chemical smells either. I was never bothered by any mentally ill patients, nor was my grandmother. My grandmother died 2 weeks after being admitted to the facility, to no fault of the staff, and I believe they gave her a good last 2 weeks of her life. She would have been happy to have lived there longer.

My mothers disease is a very debilitating neurological disorder and is extremely difficult to care for. She has lost her control of her muscles and moves constantly. Also she has difficulty eating and will choke if not fed, and lost her speech capability. Regardless Stafford Suites has taken extraordinary care of my mom. They have a great facility, that has a full care gym, beautiful garden and courtyard and in house doctor offices, a calm atmosphere not just for the patients but for the families as well. They also have a great staff. My mom lost her MP3 player we had bought her for her birthday. The staff after not finding it within 3 days went out and actually bought her a higher quality one, even though they weren't really at fault. My experience with Stafford Suites has been almost entirely positive and would recommend them to another family in a similar situation.

The Ridgemont Terrace nursing home is now called Stafford Healthcare at Ridgemont. I was referred to Stafford Healthcare for physical therapy after a fall. My husband is currently in long term care there. A wonderful place to live and to visit.
