My loved one moved in to VP several years ago by choice. It was and continues to be a well-cared for building. There is a full activities calendar, an engaging lobby with a large piano that is occasionally played. There is variety in the meals. The rooms are modern. However, many of the staff or either unhelpful, unkind, or downright rude. The receptionist is unprofessional, both her presentation on the phone and has mocked at least two residents in my presence. Repeatedly I have made requests to include extended family on mailing lists for events or activities- that did not happen. The nursing staff is a mixed bag - some are quite kind while at least one has gone out of her way to tell me how my loved one has become a burden. The director does not respond to email or phone requests. My loved one feels that issues presented to the director are brushed off or ignored all together. At this point in time my loved one is terribly disillusioned with the facility.

Vineyard Park at Mountlake Terrace had a lot of good activities. It was new and beautiful, but it didn't have the warm and small home-like atmosphere that we were looking for.

This place is appealing to the eye. Most everyone there is very friendly. They do have lots of activities for those who wish to participate. Down fall is... once your dementia starts getting worse and you require more care, its hard to come by. They do not have the staff for it. You ring your buzzer for help and it can easily be 20-40 minutes and one time that I know of not at ALL..... This is not ok when this person is a high fall risk or cannot wait that long to go to the toilet. I felt like lots of non communication with the RN here. When I complained about things they all had a non caring attitude and said they would talk to so and so about it. Too many little constant things to complain about. Try to call a staff member at night.. what a joke. very frustrating when your loved one is calling you and telling you they dont come to buzzer and I cant even call someone to get them help. Also parking is terrible . A tiny parking lot and residents and staff members also use it. Frequently go for visits or to pick up and cannot park. I can list many negative things but will stop at this. Bottom line is .... If you are able to take care of yourself or require just little assistance this is a great place. but don't let them fool you like they did us that they can care for your loved one at all levels of care. this just is not true.

Vineyard Park at Mountlake Terrace is perfect. We like the staff, director, and the location. The facility is brand new and has a memory care unit if we need it.

Vineyard Park at Mountain Terrace is a new facility. They have a community dining room. They have planned activities, a little movie theater, and a library. This is a very nice community. My mom is in a studio, but they do have available one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. There's also senior living without assisted living and memory care. Once her dementia progresses, then she is able to move upstairs. Anytime I've been there, the staff seemed very helpful, friendly, and professional.

I visited this facility
I only went once. It’s a lovely place. I would love to live there, but it’s very pricey. I remember the woman I talked to was Kelly, and the person who showed me around was very nice. It’s a new facility with assisted living, but if want cook or do this or that, there’s nothing that can stop you. There’s a kitchen and a full-time nurse. There are a lot of really cool things and amenities that would be very nice, but I’m really very happy where I am now. Everybody was really friendly, and I met some of the residents who seemed very happy. That was a big thing: people were happy and talking about moving there.
