I'm in English Meadows in Bedford. I'm very happy with it. I chose it because of the setting,;it is out in the country, it has a golf course right beside it, and it is a beautiful place. The staff is wonderful. They try very hard to please and to meet all my needs.

I visited this facility
For the same price as with the other facility at English Meadows, my dad would have an efficiency apartment, and I think only one meal a day. Also the facility is undergoing a series of renovation, but it is a nice facility.

I visited this facility
I chose Elks but I haven't moved in yet. I chose this facility because it's a very nice place and very comfortable. The staff is also very good. What I like about this facility is the cost. It's not too expensive.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
My father has dementia and is in the skilled nursing facility of Elks National Home. He's doing fine, but I think the staff could be a little bit more aware of things especially with regard to grooming like cutting his fingernails or his hair. They could be better with that. The whole facility could also have a renovation, because it looks like an old hospital.
