I’m shocked they are still in business. My relative was feed expired meat and lived in a shabby room. They are penny pinchers and not fit to be caretakers. Please look elsewhere!

I was disappointed with this place. It's dark inside. My loved ones room does not get cleaned on a regular basis. The trash was piled waste high, there is a garden with nothing but weeds in it. The room next to never gets vacuumed. I've never seen a person who works there in all the times I've visited. There were no activities offered.

It is a warm, friendly, facility. They care for the residence 24/7. The residence can participate in activities, or can enjoy the privacy of their own room. There are flower gardens and bird feeders to enjoy natures beauty. The hot tub and koy pond need some work. The LDS temple is just down the street. Mountain views are awesome. The CNAs and staff care about the residence. Meals are served at the dinning room table or in the rooms. Church is televised from the nearby ward.

I am deeply concerned that the owners are not qualified to run this facility. Upon move-in we were very confident we made the correct decision, but recently, with more tenants, the quality of care and attention has dropped far below standard. I would not recommend this facility.

Manila Country Home feels just like it says in the name, a "country home". The owner/operators, Dave and Dianne truly love and care for each of the residence in the home. I feel so blessed to have found them and to have my mother living there.

We love our next door neighbor, Manila Country Home. Not only are the gardens and yards well kept but they add beauty to the area. The owners of the home are very much community givers. They have welcomed local church groups to bring in activites such as sewing clubs and music performances as well as working with the local senior center to encourage social development. Many times there has been a nice aroma of baked goods. The owners have encouraged the local kids to come visit with the residents and read to them. My kids have adopted them as grandparents. The rooms are well furnished and large and the staff is determined to give one on one interaction with the residents. This place is well worth coming over to visit and consider a nice homey place for your loved one.

About Manila Country Home in Pleasant Grove, Utah
If scenery and location is important in a new home for your senior loved one, view our video now! Few retirement home settings can compare to Manila Country Home Assisted Living Center, situated at the foot of Mahogany Mountain in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Residents are privileged to enjoy these grand views from their spacious bedrooms.
The size and atmosphere of the community creates comfort and contentment, as well. Guests make such comments as "feels like home," and "What a nice, cozy place to live. Just like you were still living in your own home, but with close friends." With just six units, people get to know one another and feel they are part of a family. Two of the units have their own outside entrances and are considered the independent living areas of the community. But all residents mingle and share activities.
Opened in 2009 after a complete remodel and renovation, Manila Country Home was founded by husband and wife David and Dian Gibb. The two had cared for Dian's parents in their final years and realized they adored caregiving. This ministry compelled them to start the assisted living community. "My wife and I enjoy caring for people," says Mr. Gibb, who is licensed as a nursing home administrator. His master's in public administration plus years of business experience contribute to the management of Manila Country Home. David's competence coupled with Dian's years of organizational and caregiving proficiency make them perfect owners for one of Utah's most lovely retirement options.
Unique features of the community not only attract residents, but their families and other visitors can't resist such appealing amenities as playgrounds, horse and stables, pond and waterfall, a tree house, and even a theater room. Festivities like picnics and reunions tend to draw family participation, as well. Activities are designed around individual interests. But the single most celebrated benefit of Manila Country Home is the home cooking, supervised by registered dietician Diane Fager, who manages to maintain nutrition, while injecting flavor. Even neighbors to the community detect delicious aromas wafting their way. Highlights include homemade cookies and the occasional homespun ice cream.
Benefits
- In-house registered nurse for supervision of medical records, administration and prescriptions

As if the preceding features and benefits were not enough, Manila Country Home regularly provides old-time music to lighten the spirits of residents. Mini-concerts are also performed by Steve Buhler on both piano and organ. Schedule your tour today to be greeted by community favorite "Springtime In the Rockies."
