I had just had extensive surgery which removed a soccer-ball size chondrosarcoma from my chest along with five ribs and half my diaphragm. I was sent to Stonehenge American Fork to recover. I took with me very specific instructions for my care, including a high-protein diet, multiple cleaning out of my surgery wound, changing dressing, etc. I had a drainage tube from the wound: this was to be vacated four time/day. J reminded the care-givers of these instructions. In response, they said the instructions were not communicated to them, but they would clean out the wound and change the dressing. I my eight days, the dressing was changed only twice along with some cleaning out the surgery wound. When I would remind the caregivers, the response was, "Sure we'll be right back to do that, but the same person mostly never returned. I would be someone else with the excuse that it wasn't his or her job. I started to get severe pain in the surgery wound, and I asked them to allow me to contact my surgeon, to find out if that was normal. I had to go back on narcotics because of the pain. Th run-off from the drain changed color from pink to grayish white. When i asked if that was normal, they said it was nothing to worry about. I asked continuously if they had spoken to my surgeon; they responded "yes". When I asked which doctor, they said the Stonehenge doctor. On day eight, my surgeon came from Provo to see how I was doing, owing to the severity of my surgery and I believe because he was getting incomplete reports. He immediately saw the color of the drainage and ordered my wife to pack my things preparatory to returning to the hospital for a series of three more surgeries to clean out the Staff infection caused by lack of adequate wound care at Stonehenge. I could easily have died if left at Stonehenge and the inept and disorganized care. I rarely saw anyone who knew what to do. Most were pleasant, but didn't seem to want, or have time to do what they were supposed to do. Many friends advised me to sue Stonehenge, but I didn't want to spend all the rest of my life doing such a thing. In retrospect, maybe it would have prevented mistreatment to others.

I spent the entire month of September 2020 in Stonehenge American Fork. My room was very large and kept picked up and clean by an excellent staph. It didn't seem to matter if working in nursing, housekeeping, physical therapy, etc., if I needed something and they could do it they did with a smile on their face. Everyone who gave me care never acted rushed. They didn't complain. They were in need of more help, but this didn't interfere with their quality of work. They needed to wear masks and gloves and sometimes gowns. They remembered and their technique was spot on. I'm a retired nurse. I know what they needed to do with keeping from passing pathogens. Not once did I see a slip up. I went that entire time without a visitor. The staff was well aware and went out of their way to spend some time with me. I had severe congestive heart failure. I transferred from the hospital. Upon admission I was in pain and confused. A lovely aide, Esther was called to come take care of me. I have panic attacks. She knew exactly what to do to help me. i can't say enough positive things about nursing and PT. I must though say thanks to Sy and Craig from PT. Those two guys worked with me through my pain with skill and patience and cheer. They got me moving so i could go home where i'm continuing to improve. I hope to not need rehab again, but if I do I will want to stay at Stonehenge American Fork. I would highly recommend them.

Run far far away. My mother was a patient here and she died due to their poor care. They failed to give her the medication and labs ordered by the hospital, resulting in her death. She was completely unresponsive and the nurse said that my mom was just sleeping. I ended up having to call 911 myself to get her to a hospital because they just didn’t care. I had attempted on multiple occasions to resolve concerns I had but they just didn’t care. Finally I just ended up filing complaints with the state and Medicare. If you love your family member, don’t send them here. Their rehab program was also poor- I am a therapist myself and they were terrible!!!

I should have written this sooner but I decided it needed to be shared. I was in this facility last year and I almost died because of them. They overdosed me on morphine. The ones who are suppose to be monitoring me overdosed me! My family came to see me and they couldn't wake me up. They had to give me 3 shots of narcan to revive me. I just kept thinking it was an accident but I could have died! Unfortunately I still have reaccurring memories and nightmares. If I think about it I panic. I would never recommend this place to ANYONE!

I've had many friends rehab at Stonehenge of American Fork. The staff have always been kind and caring. The rehab team seems to know what they are doing and my friends have all recovered well. The food is good, they didn't like everything that was served, but overall all, it was good. The facility has a really good vibe and everyone seems happy. I would really recommend Stonehenge of American Fork to anyone needing rehab or Long Term Care.

Alice/April the LPN (night nurse) needs to be fired immediately. I have never met a less caring person. She yells at her coworkers there and she was awful to my mother who stays there. The minute she walks into a room you can feel a bad presence enter with her. Why is she in healthcare when she clearly hates helping people. My mom was throwing up and she walked out of the room and called someone else to assist even though she was right there. She needs to go to therapy because she is clearly an unhappy miserable person. She needs help.
