I visited The Medical Resort at Sugar Land. They had a nice common area. When you go into the area where the bedrooms were it smelled of urine, and it's carpeted. A place like that should not be carpeted; it would definitely be impossible to keep it clean. Some of the staff were horrible too. They're inattentive and rude. They need to change their nursing practices or nursing bedside manner. It's deplorable. They had a salon. It was not open because of COVID. They had nice and clean rooms.

My Mother stayed at The Medical Resort in Sugarland for 2 years. She received excellent care from the nurses, CNA's and other medical staff. Valerie, Kay Luna and Mary (CNA) were extra attentative. The medical care was good. The food was varied, nutritious, and tasty. The facility was always clean. My Mom's room was well-appointed and comfortable. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. There were activities available, but my Mom did not participate in them. Physical therapy is also available. I recommend The Medical Resort in Sugarland.

My friend was brought to this facility for rehab after an emergency procedure. The first night he was put in a room and not checked on all night. The call button in his room was not working and he needed to relieve himself, but no one came to assist. Without assistance, he urinated on himself in his bed. The room was cold and he could not reach a blanket. He lay there wet and cold till someone checked on him in the morning. The call button was temporarily fixed, but has since malfunctioned again. He is too weak to get up and reach the door to ask for help. I am not impressed with the level of care here.

My mother was at The Medical Resort at Sugar Land. Lovelady was excellent. That's the only person I want to say something about. If she wasn't there, I would give them a 1. She was very compassionate. I've never seen somebody as compassionate like her. What I don't like is you can't reach anybody on the phone. The phone system is horrible. Cleanliness and upkeep were fine. The place looked good.

Today I watched on camera their occupational therapists and physical therapists just do a wonderful and caring visit with my wife of 68 years. Also watched a nurse be so kind and gentle feeding her. So much comfort to our family.

My husband was recently discharged from Medical Resort at Sugarland. We stayed there for 3 months as he transitioned from LTAC (long term acute care). My husband & I don't have anything to say but "Excellence in Care" given by the whole staff...RNs, CMAs, CNAs, Respiratory therapists, Physical & Occupational therapists, the dietary staff, the housekeeping staff, the doctors ( Dr. Chaudry & Dr. Ahmed), & the nurse practitioners. They were all responsive to whatever health problems/issues we presented and they responded accordingly & resolved such. They were very good in follow-up care to make sure that things are going in the right direction. The Director of Nursing Ms. Youko (spelling???) ran a tight ship. Our kudos to the entire staff of Medical Resort at Sugarland. Couldn't thank you all enough. I would like to mention the names but there are just too many.

My father was previously in The Medical Resort at Sugar Land for a couple of months. Our experience was good. The place is really nice, it's a newer place and has a more luxury-like setting. The people there were nice as well. My dad didn't like the food, but it looked good to me. They would give you a menu and you pick what you like. The staff was really attentive, they didn't take long when he uses the call button when he needed to use the restroom. They help cleaning him when he needed a shower or assist when he had to use the potty.
