Mom moved to Mustang Creek Estates-Sachse. We like that it's close. The rooms are nice. They are fairly standard for a one-bedroom. The staff is nice and informative. They have outings, bingo, and worship. It's clean and has good upkeep.

The Mustang Creek Estates - Sachse has six houses. They all have two types of houses, which are assisted living, assisted living plus, and memory care. They can start at one and then eventually go to the next one. And then finally the last step would be memory care. In each house, there are probably at least 12 rooms. Usually, there's just a single person who lives in each room. But in memory care, there are some doubles. Everyone eats at a dining area up front. It's an open-concept kitchen area, so when they're cooking, you can smell it throughout the house, which was a big draw for me. They have a living area up front as well where they can watch TV, sit on the couch, and visit with their friends. They have entertainment. They do little activities and things like that. They do have like the assisted living buses that will take them on some cute little field trips every once in a while. Memory care doesn't get out as much because it's a little too hard for them. The residents seem to be very pleasant there, and the people that work there are nice and helpful and so far, so good. My mom is very happy there. If I ask the staff questions or like I'll ask them to maybe change something, maybe with something that my mother does, they are very good about it. They don't mind. They dress her in memory care, help her fix her hair, make her bed, and help her out a lot. So, that's very nice. And when I tell them that I'm going to be coming to bring her for a doctor's appointment, they have her ready to go for me.

I moved into Mustang Creek Estates in Sachse, and it's very nice. The facility is very attractive. The buildings are new. It's very close to my son and his family, which was the number one reason. My room is small, but it's very nice. I have a nice view and a big window. It's more than adequate. The staff is very nice. I have liked everybody. They serve three meals a day. The food is not wonderful, but it's adequate. They have a whole schedule of activities almost every day.

All the other residents here at Mustang Creek Estates-Sachse have dementia. So, I didn't have anybody to talk to and they never asked me what I wanted for dinner. You get what they give you. A lot of the staff are pretty good, but there's nobody here at night. I've asked to put a shower curtain up but I've been here for over two months and they have yet to put a shower curtain. So when you get out of there, you step into puddles of water. The lady said she was going to change my sheets in four or five weeks and hasn't been back in. The girls are allergic to cats, so she has not got anybody in here to change my sheets, dust, and do regular cleaning. She tried to ask my daughter and I thought that was pretty rude to ask that. My daughter is not getting paid to clean my room. They got TV in here and that's what we do.

My mom has moved to Mustang Creek Estates Sachse. I like it because it felt like a home setting. They're set up in seven different houses with their own kitchen, living area, and everything. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive to my mom. My mom doesn't do much, but they did some activities from time to time. They have games, movie nights with popcorn, and sometimes they'd have ice creams. It is very high-quality care at a lower cost than what I found other facilities to be.

My mother needed to be in a memory care unit. We were blessed to find Mustang Creek Estates Sachse. The facility is beautiful, like a family home. The staff are all caring, loving people. The staff stayed in constant communication with me about the status of my mother. I never felt anxious about leaving her there because I knew she was being cared for and loved just as she would have been if we’d been able to keep her at home. This place and the staff are true blessings to the residents there.

My husband and I were recently thrown into one of the biggest challenges of our life's. A challenge we had zero knowledge of how to navigate and a challenge only the two of us could help solve. My Mother-in-law's dementia and a recent fall left her incapable of caring for herself. We have 5 kids with our youngest being 10 and 3 others in college that require our financial support. We weren't prepared to bring another human into our already busting-at-the-seams household however, when a loved one is in need you do what you have to do. She was living a state away and slowly deteriorating from the isolation of quarantine that COVID requires. We went to get her and moved her in with us. We discussed options (her staying with us was one) but she thought it best to find an assisted living home as she didn't want to be a "burden". Cut to many phone calls and tours leaving us uneasy/unhappy, I came across what felt too good to be true. All inclusive pricing with no surprises. Home-cooked meals 3x a day. Homes that... well, look like homes!! So I called Mustang Creek Estates in Sachse. From the first interaction with Mary I knew this was the right place. Her warmth and helpfulness (no matter the hour) didn't go unnoticed. We toured. It was perfect. With private rooms that include attached private bathrooms, bright windows and individual ac units. A staff that is SO HELPFUL that they clean, cook, do laundry, shower and help dress if needed. Leave the room to the expansive hallway that leads you to the comfy living room where the residents actually sit a hang out! A beautiful, open concept kitchen and 2 large dining tables for all residences to dine together, if they so choose. She had to have a consultation to determine level of care and in under weeks (2 weeks!) We had her room ready and moved her in. She then and still says "This is my home!" She loves it. She loves the staff of caretakers her visiting nurses and therapists, the event and housing director and they love her. We feel just as welcome when we visit (and we visit a LOT) Kendra, Brittany and Deborah are so loving, welcoming and are clearly in the field that they were called to do. I have April, the director, on speed dial and I call/text with questions at all times of the day/night and she always responds, never sounding "put out". I will always consider her a friend. She LOVES her residents and it shows (and they know it). I never knew a place like this existed. This is not a nursing home. This is a home for your loved one to thrive with the respect and freedom to choose, exactly as someone who has lived a long life should expect and with the respect and dignity they deserve! I can't say enough about Mustang Creek Estates and frankly, I can't imagine a future where these amazing people aren't in our life's. Thank you. THANK YOU! Much love. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

My mother-in-law moved into Mustang Creek Estates of Sachse three months ago. She's in memory care because she has dementia. They allow us a little bit more flexibility to come see her because it was COVID when we put her in there. When she got her vaccine, they also allowed us to get our vaccines at the same time. I think they do the best they can with what they have, but they have the same problem that any other facility of this sort would have: they have trouble getting and keeping workers. Once you get used to somebody and try to get them trained on what to do for your loved one, new people would come in, so you're constantly training people. They have people there who didn't get the training that they need to work in memory care. For instance, if it's a new person, they have to come in and help her brush her teeth. My mother-in-law doesn't know how to do that. You've got to hand it to her and put the toothpaste on the toothbrush. The staff will say, "Here, put these clothes on," but she doesn't know how to do that, so you have to help her with that. So, they're confused. Many times, when they hire people, they don't give them the training that they need to understand what memory care means. Some people can remember some things but in her case, she can't remember anything so she needs more assistance. Once we've trained them with that, a new person starts. They have some of the same issues that all of those facilities have. They have trouble keeping people, they have trouble training people, and they have trouble with the service. What they do that we need is twenty-four-hour service so that my mother-in-law sleeps well at night. We're constantly training people and we even help with that. They allowed us to put a camera in her room so we're able to see where we need to step in. Some of the staff are good and some of them are just learning. The place is clean, they give the residents three meals a day, and they have activities. They have music, board games, field trips, and ice-cream day. They have different types of things.

My mom has been in Mustang Creek Estates for a few years now, and it has been a pretty smooth experience. It is a newer facility, so it's nice and clean. The staff seems to be pretty nice too. They give me a call and inform me if she needs anything. They just have a high turnover rate, but I understand that. My mom doesn't really take part in many of the activities. Every time I'm there, they seem like they got a lot of stuff going on. She's in the memory care unit so they do some chair aerobics, some little dancing games, and puzzles. They also get their nails and hair done, and they go out on field trips.

I only went into one building in Mustang Creek Estates - Sachse, and nobody was living in it yet. They have a very good, very nice, and very helpful staff. The facility was very nice too. It has a good layout, and there's a building that has about twelve rooms in it, with one kitchen, and a living room, and where people can all congregate and eat together. They were not good for couples, but they're only good for individuals, because the rooms were very, very small. Also, the menu didn't have that many choices. You either eat what they have or you get a sandwich pretty much.

My mother will be moving to Mustang Creek Estates in Sachse. I like that they're separated in different cottages, 10 to 12 of them in a house with their own living room and kitchen. It doesn't have that big hospital feel. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and efficient. Everything, so far, has been great with them. The cottages were built from the ground up specifically for the purpose of housing a group of elderly people so everything is there. They have their own thermostat in their rooms and they have their own bathrooms. They have a gathering area in the house, a living room they can meet in, and not a big dining hall but a little dining area next to the kitchen which is really nice.

August 2019, this was an incredible place and exactly what my dad needed as he healed from head injuries. When the new director came in October and Covid hit, it went down hill fast. My dad lost 20 lbs, became angry and more confused. Lies, no response from corporate and owners. So sad! Had to get him out of there. Now he is thriving, happy and healthier than he has been in a year!

Mustang Creek Estates was very nice. The people there were very nice, too. They have one area that has a television and where they do recreation. The only thing I didn't like too much about this place is that they didn't have any areas that were fenced in so that they can go out when the weather is nice. The facility was new. The staff was very friendly. They seemed to be very caring of the people that they were taking care of. The memory care rooms were fairly large with nice bathrooms and closet areas.

Mustang Creek Estates is our number one choice. They had a completely empty building, so we were able to drive up there and look around. The staff seems engaged, very friendly, informative, and seemed to understand what we needed. The facility was very clean, very modern, it was just a nice experience. We were not rushed as we took the tour. The lady that was there was very helpful the entire time.

No call system for more alert residents. Caregivers have to cook, clean, and provide care. Found caregiver asleep at night when mom had called about another resident wandering in her room at night. Food always tough and not easy to eat. Laundry always wrinkled and faded. Bathroom always a mess. Mom was here a couple months a year ago. Now I see that if your loved one dies, this facility charges for 30 days after date of death because you have to give 30 day notice!?? How does that even BEGIN to make sense!!!??? What a nightmare for a family. Shame on you, Mustang Creek!

We like Mustang Creek Estates Sachse Memory Care and my mother-in-law likes it as well. The layout is perfect and it makes it homier. The food is good, but the flavors could be a little bit better. They were creating picture frames and painting when we were there. Her room looks good, but it could be a bit more spacious or wider to give more room for the bed.

I would have given them zero stars but it would not allow me to do so! Do not walk, run away from this place. My mother was a resident for 4 months and we had nothing but trouble. She fell and laid in the floor for over four hours (thankfully her therapist insisted she be allowed to go to her room), her medication was dispensed incorrectly and refills were never ordered on time, the care givers documented she was showered three times a week but in truth she was only showered by them twice in three months, the meals were inadequate and often the menu items were not supplied, her clothes were ruined by their washing techniques even though we had signs in her room that we would wash her clothes, the apparatus residents use to call a caregiver didn’t work most of the time and if by chance it did the caregivers did not carry the pagers, and the final straw was when money and other items were stolen from her room. The owner of Mustang Creek did not contact our family at any point during her stay even though we had multiple meetings with the campus director who forwarded our concerns to her. Please DO NOT put your loved ones at Mustang Creek!

Mustang Creek Estates Sachse was nice, but we didn't like the room. It was just a one-bedroom, one-bathroom, and my husband needs more room than that. It just wasn't enough space for him. The place was new and clean. The activities director who helped us there was nice.

Toured this place was impressed. It smelled good and the patients were clean and well cared for. The staff are their best asset as they are really friendly and engaged with their patients. The layout is really good as the houses are smaller so less chance for my dad to get lost in the hallways. Nice quiet neighborhood so no loud noise from traffic.

Mustang Creek Estates - Sachse is new. It didn't have a kitchenette in the room and the kitchen area was small. It was nice, but mom wouldn't have access to a microwave or a refrigerator in those rooms. It was just a bedroom. The person during the tour was nice. Their living area was small as well. It's in a nice subdivision right across the street from a little school.

We have recently moved Mom here three weeks ago. I am an RN so know how people should get cared for. Wow I love to visit. The workers are always busy not hanging out but yet always have time for your loved ones needs to be discussed. Clean, neat, well organized. Everything smells nice including the residents. Food looks attractive and served home like. Residents appear well cared for and loved. Activities offered frequently. I cannot say what more could be offered for the residents.

Only 2 caregivers for a dozen confused, wandering, residents. Same 2 were responsible for all cooking, housekeeping, and care. Mom is early stage Alzheimers and we were told most of the folks in Memory care were at her level. Wrong!! She was terrified numerous times by confused folks wandering into her room at night. Took 3 weeks for them to get phone line working, food was not good most of the times, medcations not reordered on time so doses were missed, I had to shower Mom many times because they just didn't. We were told Mom could move to the Assisted Living Plus house but 2 months and many excuses later, we finally had enough. There were rarely activities. Residents just sit or wander most of the day. These folks will tell you anything to get a room rented. As a nurse for nearly 30 years, this is NOT a place to put your loved one if you want attentive care. Several residents fell due to lack of supervision and I know of many who have moved out already. For what you pay, the care is not worth it. This place only cares about a profit.

I really liked Mustang Creek Estates - Sachse a lot. It was very nice and had a very home-like atmosphere. Each home was dedicated to either assisted living or memory care or nursing. Each home can hold a maximum of 16 people. It was new, clean, and nicely located in a residential neighborhood. Stephanie was very helpful, answered all my questions, gave me handouts, showed me around the whole place, explained how they do various things and how they're handled, and she was not pushy at all. I liked it because it's all-inclusive. There's no extra charge to give the medicine or an extra charge to do the laundry. The only thing that had extra charge was if they had to take Mom to her doctor's appointment. Each kitchen was large with a nice, granite countertop where the residents can walk up and get food. They eat at big oak dining tables that sit about 10 or 12 people.
