The care my father is receiving in the San Remo rehab center has been great. Christina, who I believe was his primary weekend nurse was exceptional! Favor, his primary weekday nurse is personable and empathetic. And, Robin, a caregiver who helps with his day to day needs is attentive and has loads of personality which my father an I appreciate. His first few days were rough- at 84, he came to San Remo with a left hip replacement and another major surgery to remove an 80% blockage in his artery to his brain. He is improving physically and though he has good days and bad days with his dementia- for the most part his days are good. Thank you to everyone who helps care for Fritz. We appreciate you more than we say.

I visit one of the residents who is a friend and a member of my church. The resident seems quite content and well cared for and has been at San Remo (Richardson) for a number of years. The staff at the front desk and at the various nursing stations have always been very helpful and friendly to myself and my friend. The Activities Director is very friendly and seems to have many fun planned activities to keep the residents engaged and stimulated. My friend enjoys many of the activities. The facility does have an exercise room. The rooms for the residents, although not overly large, are adequate and very clean. The only negative thing I have observed is that when a resident uses the call button from their room to request assistance, the response time of the staff is slow at best and some calls for assistance don't appear to get any response at all.

PT is top notch. Food is good. The rest is horrible. Your told you will get a shower on Thursday it never happens. Dirty linens are not changed until you get mad. If you have diabetes forget. They know nothing about managing it. My average before going there was 130-140 while there 380+ they would react instead of preventing. They would call a meeting and cancel and never tell you it was cancelled. They assume if your there your incompetent and don't know what your asking for. Had it not been for me checking my own blood levels I am sure they would have found me in coma the next day.

There are three male nurses in the Covid unit. They were not very responsive when I needed them. I had to go to the bathroom and pull the red cord if I n deed help. When I moved to the front part, it was so much better. All of the nurses and PT’s were amazing. They were so caring, and they responded when I pressed the button. The PT’s are very knowledgeable and caring. My complaints are: housekeeping did not clean my room or bathroom for more than a week., my bed wasn’t changed for more than a week, and the girl from the dining room parked her cart and disappeared for thirty minutes before bringing my tray. Several times a cold lunch arrived at 1:30.

Food is absolutely terrible. I wouldn't feed to my dog. The staff is very unfriendly.when you call for help it takes an hour for someone to come.

This is my 4th stay at San Remo and like my previous visits I was not disappointed. My medical and physical therapy care was the best. The staff has been consistently professional and caring. I enjoyed the food. The variety of meals were very tasty. San Remo was extremely cautious and followed a strict Covid-19 protocol which both my family and I appreciated. The courtyard and grounds are quite lovely and the interior has a nice Mediterranean feel. If, heaven forbid, I need rehab for any more operations, I will go back to San Remo.
